Great lesson!!!! I'm a long time rock guitarist. I've got a few Dead songs in my repertoire. But I found the solo impossibly hard to get down! Not to mention the unique rhythm of the entire song. Garcia is such an amazing guitarist, definitely no rock & roll clichés anywhere!

Excellent! Just enough info. It bothers me when some instructors feel they have to name each string, fret, and finger position for each note played throughout the entire song. Great job avoiding that. I think if a person is going to take on something with this many changes and chords with little licks you should be advanced enough to pick it up the way you taught here. If you need to know where every single finger position is then you're probably not ready for this advanced of a song. Which really isn't that advanced to begin with.
the solo on this is actually pretty consistent throughout his performances. jerry certainly improvised often on his solos, but this isn't one of them
is the rythym the same through out the song?
