I have lost count as to how many times over the years people have commented to me " oh it must be so hot and uncomfortable under that leather jacket" to which I would reply "not nearly as uncomfortable as being in a body bandage and casts after coming off the bike at speed on asphalt or gravel.

Great point. Double/triple stitching is one way to off set it, which many of the Goldtop jackets have. My original teknic didn't.
