I discovered J Krishnamurti at a catholic school yard sale - the year was 1981 - the title wars,”The Impossible Question:” - It was paper back, I paid, .10, cents for it - The return on my investment is infinite; for the 30, some years I have followed his teachings - for years I argued with his logic or teachings, at times - I felt, “this is delusional”,- I was wrong, I was the one who was delusional - Today his teachings are standard thinking among the masses; much more so then back in 1981 - His teachings have not reached “Critical Mass” but they have advanced “exponentially” - This talk could almost be considered his “somation”, in a Real sense -
Sai k I really have nothing to say on the matter - other than 30 some years ago people did not understand Krishnamurti wasn’t understood as well as he is today - (in my opinion that is)
The appreciation of beauty can be applied to thought as well... where thought produces poetry and the other beautiful aspects of a human in association with the potentiality of thought
14:18 is he talking about sexual energy like never let a thought enter to the senses and just observe it plus preserving that energy? And what takes place is sense of beauty, clarity, purity, love, calmness? Or im wrong
Interesting question comes to me....how did thought as a 'sense' escape our attention and has created its own throne controlling the other senses. (Gawd how dare it has been doing all this while on the sly) Is it because it operates on abstraction creating stories and storing it as memories for future mischief?
This question makes the assumption that sensory perceptions and thought are connected. The sensory perceptions seem to be working independently. The sensory perceptions are working in response to the surroundings the stimulus. Then you are translating the sensory perceptions into the framework of your experiencing structure. The translation of the sensors is automatic when you have the knowledge of what it is you are sensing, you can't stop. And it is absurd to suggest a way to free yourself from knowledge, because this method of freeing yourself, is an accumulation of the thing you are trying to free yourself from, this is obvious. So if you are to free your sensory perceptions from your thoughts, it must be autonomous without volition, without knowledge. You cannot use knowledge to experience what it is like to be without the burden of knowledge, the knowledge must be absent. This is the crux of your problem.
Hi! "This question makes the assumption that sensory perceptions and thought are connected." It's not an assumption, he explains it on minute 8:57 to 10:37
"So if you are to free your sensory perceptions from your thoughts, it must be autonomous without volition, without knowledge." Yes, that's it, without any control, just the senses

Hi! Because of the identification. One identifies oneself with the experiences, the ideas, thoughts, body, culture, knowledge, etc etc...
It can under the right circumstances.
Hi! What are those circumstances? Couldn't it be right now?

Every JK •s word matters
