      Good question, it is a yes .. and answer
      When light is directed toward one eye, CN II (Optic - sensory nerve) carries the light stimulus to CN III. Light directed toward either eye will immediately stimulate CN III on both sides. Thus, both pupils constrict in response to light directed into either eye (known as direct and consensual light response).
