For Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, that road would begin with being disowned by his parents at age 18 following his return from the Season 1 World Championship. Competing on five different teams throughout his career, Doublelift rose from the ashes of Season 1 to become one of the most successful and well-known AD carry players in the world. Over 21 Champions and 372 games, Doublelift earned his 1,000th career season kill with Team SoloMid. Now, he has returned to the competitive scene after a year-long hiatus to play for Team Liquid. Actually Doublelift was a support main before in Epik Gaming and he became popular because of his blitzcrank. Doublelift was known as "Blitzcrank God" before.

I kinda dislike how they left out how CLG kicked him and then I didn't really like the fact that they just skipped right to TSM's world performance without saying they won the summer split. I mean alright lol.
This was a really well made video!! I would love to see more videos with other big name players, current and former. Maybe some explanations of why people fell out of favor/left the scene? I already knew almost everything about Double, but I still learned a thing or two here. I would be really interested in finding out some more info on other legends.

I think the comment section reflects how stupid people are.
Firstly, the video mentioned CLG was one of the best team in the world. Which is correct in the timeline of the video. In the context of early years in LoL, CLG was one of the best teams. Please get your facts right.
Secondly, DoubleLife is recognized as one of the top tier ADCs across the world, NA or not. Here in Asia, we still appreciate him despite him playing on a different server and for a different country. I would also like to raise to the Americans, no one here ever says NA is not as good as KR/CN or whatsoever, the only people I hear that from is NA players.
Thirdly, you can dislike DoubleLift, that's your choice, but you should learn to respect a man's dedication to work. As someone who just turned adult, getting kicked out of his house and have to work independently is not a small matter.

It is worth noting that DL is only staying with TL to the end of the spring split. He will rejoin TSM. TSM has also said that they plan to field a 6 man roster with wild turtle.

i literally cried when i saw the part where his parents kick him out of their house. he might be a shitty son but having that happen and struggle to support urself is just one of the worst than to happen to a kid. and for him to triumph at the end is even more of a touching story. 10 - 10

His mom got killed and father was severely injured during the 2018 worlds where he was competing against. His older brother, who he looks up to and the only person who supported him, is the one responsible

when i found out that doublelift left TSM for TL, i was quite surprised since TL used to talk trash about TSM. but now seeing their performance, i think doublelift has a big future ahead of him
He is just at TL for awhile, he will be back to TSM at summer, honestly I like turtle but I prefer Doublelift more as their main adc.

Really hard to judge his character without really knowing him personally. I just know he comes across as very arrogant, and I don't enjoy that from a pro too much. At a mechanical level, I'll always respect his undeniable skill.

they just killed everyone in SSG but victor, so they rushed to baron and they would win. but he CHOOSE to 1v1 the victor under tower and died. failing to take baron and giving it up to SSG. thus causing them to lose baron and their chance to get out of group stages. sad. that clip makes me cry evyertime.
