Being kicked from CLG and the work of their sports psychologist make him really great, back in S2-S3 I really hated him, he was kinda a douch.. Now looks pretty cool guy...same with Reginald.
Had to pause the video just to say man Weldon is awesome. So much respect for how he just straight up calls out Biofrost for being nervous after game 1. I really like how his approach to coaching is so direct.
You have to bring players down to earth and back to reality when coaching/mentoring. He's knows it's not all sunshine and rainbows. You have to become confident, fight through the jitters, and pick yourself up from any situation.
I don't think it was even just that. He's addressing the elephant in the room and making his teammates aware of it so they don't ignore it and let him tilt further by himself.
i think weldon did it 50% right, though cant argue with results. I feel that weldon doesnt offer the solution to the problems enough, he didnt say "dont let the nervousness get to you, we are here for you" or anything he just said "hey, you have a problem right?"
It's tough. 1) We don't have the full, full talk to see. 2) He's forcing Biofrost to confront it himself and then they discuss it as a group. It's a similar principle to (please don't take this the wrong way because I am not equating these two situations) to confronting someone about mental health issues. Give them less wiggle room and support them in confronting the problem and working with them to solve it.

Thats only because he showed them a contract and proof that this is a viable career i bet ur low elo trying to convince ur parents you can have a career out of it with no proof.

Sounds like you come from a wealthy family. I can't see any parent telling their kid to turn down 100k a year, especially when they are still that young and could always just go back to college if their pro career faded out, but then they'd be going to college with a headstart.
I think this bot lane worked so much better than Double/Yellow because Double was able to shape Biofrost into the type of player that he needed: An aggressive laner who can provide peel in team fights. Bio came in as a blank slate, whereas Yellow already had his own play style
Bio was really aggressive in tryouts too, if anything double had to rein him back a little. I guess him being a thresh one-trick taught him really aggressive lane dominance.
Does anyone else feel like any production with TSM in it is always going to look super well shot and professional? I never realized how cartoonish the colors were for other teams, but TSM black used for the intro cut looked sooooo good compared to the other DUO videos..

Biofrost is a diamond in the rough.. I think he has the potential to be one of the best playing his role.. And I don't think there is anyone better suited to help him out than TSM and in particular Doublelift! So excited to see what will happen in the future!

I feel like this episode is in comparison to the others, more focussed on the scene around it. In this case it was the LCS final itself. Aphro and Stixxay was way more about the relationship and even Huni, Reignover was incredibly emotional. Dunno, maybe it's just a feeling, but this one's less impressive.. Hope to see maybe some DUOS about Casters or Riot Employees around the e-sport scene. We know that there is a special binding between botlanes, and yes, a jungler and his solo laner have something very likely to that. Show us something new :)
Doublelift mentioned in his recent podcast that Rick Fox's speech at MSG really stood out to him, particularly the part that BioFrost echoed in this video at 6:05, and that he'd also tell his teammates the Rick Fox speech. This video is proof that he did that, and for Bio specifically.

Such a likable bot lane in a likable team. Not all LCS players are great like this, but TSM just is a team of good people.

AFAIK, Biofrost was a headstrong highly mechanical SoloQ player already. According to DL he just needed to be taught game theory.
