Slightly off the subject - Back in my day !! - Many of us did carbon loading for marathons - ( We didn't quite follow Ron Hill by the book !! ) but ate more carbos in the last couple of days to try to fool the body to store more fuel for the big day - I know things have moved on loads with nutrition since those days - but it worked for us - What do you think of that method Gareth ?
Instead of the usual toast and butter combo, I've moved on to a more healthy start to the day. Organic oats, dried apricots, banana, walnuts, cranberries and pumpkin seeds. It takes quite a while to eat but it it it's way better for me.
Good luck in York
Off for an all you can eat Chinese tomorrow, which you might not think is great fuelling, but 91 medals at Paris Olympics is pretty decent.
