This version just made me realize that this song(even thought it was first) is very similar to Portishead's The Rip, a song that Thom himself covered. Interesting.

OMG this is the ultimate song to play & sing, I tried on piano but can't catch the rhythm and have no idea what the chords are, it's a weird Egyptian scale, beyond my knowledge but I love it so much.
It changes a few times depending on which section you are in, and also from chord to chord in those sections. Egyptian scale is a good start though. To work out the rest you need to look at the chords closely, see how they are constructed, figure out the melody. Then you can have a good idea of what scale to use over the top.
