Jason, can we get a 30 minute video of just photos you've taken in the past couple years? Like a greatest hits slideshow. It doesn't even need to have narration or anything. I just wanna see more of your work.
You are very correct, but I do feel as though my nostalgia brings me to the whole Every Man for Himself album. And I’d have to say my favorite is Born to Lead
I have literally now I idea about shooting with film camera and I will probably never have a idea about it, but your videos are so chill and I really enjoy watching them that I watch very video just for the vibe you give me.
Dude I found your channel a week ago and you made me buy my first film camera, a Canon AE1 (which has been stuck in mail hell for the last two days lmao)
I've learned to watch a grainydays video with one finger on the 'stop' button. Example as to why: 0:24. Two seconds of Easter-eggish delight, right there.
Thomas Ligotti is seen as like the next Lovecraft. His books are usually a collection of short stories. I really recommend the Songs of a Dead Dreamer & Grimscribe combo!
Thank you for sharing Jason. I found this video be very informative and surprising. Considering the MANY amazing cameras that you own I have always assumed your camera bag was just filled with money.
I woke up this morning, brewed a cup of tea and pondered how I could use my TLR on a tripod at 90 degrees angle. Watched this and learned of the existence L brackets. Thank you for the education, I shall write about this day in my diary.
I’m from Montana and have begun shooting film for the first time since I was a middle schooler in the 90s. Great videos and humor. I live a couple hours from glacier so I’m pretty lucky
After spending 460€ on fixing a Pentax 6x7 MLU, it died on me again four rolls later. Although there might be a makeshift fix for around 600€, the official Pentax-service-guy here in Germany told me in the same sentence that it's essentially broke beyond fixing. Now I'm sitting here, half a bottle of Ballantines in my head, watching Pentax 6x7 content from my favorite photography RUclipsr reminiscing the borderline erotic moments with this feral piece of mammoth shit. Thanks for thinking of me and providing me with new content during this difficult time of grief, Jason. Because it can't be a coincidence that a new video comes out now of all times, noooo.
I really appreciate that this is an affordable bag and I'm not being compelled by a stranger to spend all my savings on the latest brand collab luxury collapsible organic celebrity endorsed model for once.
I’ve been reading burning down the haus, it’s a great book about punks in east Germany in the 80s and how they affected the end of east Germany. Highly recommend
I would no watch the ordinary generic „what’s in my bag“ videos as I think the are obsolete but coming from you I thought it might be fun because of your humor 😉
Cosmic horror book recommendation "Forge of God", Greg Bear; movie recommendation, same genre: "Event Horizon" What camera do you use for video; looks nice, bit GoPro looking high saturation, but maybe that's just natural desert south west! Really enjoy your vids. You remind me of Dewey from Malcolm in the middle somehow :) Keep up the entertaining shows.
Alastair Reynolds is one of my favorite authors!! For some sort of cosmic horror vibes, check out Adrian Tchaikovsky’s “Children of Time” and “Children of Ruin”. Great books.
Thanks for explaining your back pack set up. Now we know if you would be a back pack in real life you'd be yellow on the inside with all your guilts and regrets neatly organised.
Baxter's appearances:
- 00:42
- 08:10
Thanks everybody.
Greetings for all the Hoobastank fans.
epic
all i needed thanks! now i don’t have to watch the weird guy talk about cameras
Not what we deserve, but what we need.
Jason, can we get a 30 minute video of just photos you've taken in the past couple years? Like a greatest hits slideshow. It doesn't even need to have narration or anything. I just wanna see more of your work.
"I gotta figure out this microphone thing..."
*slaps some duct tape in it*
Brilliant! 😂
Never underestimate duct tape 😂
I've seen Jason's journal. He's also good at drawing other fruit like melons and peaches. Sometimes he puts it all together in a still life.
Love it everytime you post man
Yeah I have been DESPERATELY waiting for post.
05:48 Solaris is a great cosmic horror book. The film adaptation by Tarkovsky has great cinematography as well
“The Reason” for sure, this shouldn’t even be a question.
You are very correct, but I do feel as though my nostalgia brings me to the whole Every Man for Himself album. And I’d have to say my favorite is Born to Lead
That's a very phallic collection of favorite foods you got there
Just crashed my car coming home from the photo lab. Your upload really makes my day!
I have literally now I idea about shooting with film camera and I will probably never have a idea about it, but your videos are so chill and I really enjoy watching them that I watch very video just for the vibe you give me.
You never fail to make me laugh out loud, even when I’m by myself. Thanks!!
Dude I found your channel a week ago and you made me buy my first film camera, a Canon AE1 (which has been stuck in mail hell for the last two days lmao)
> camera bag videos are played out
> clicks instantly because I’m played out
Only squarespace know Jason's worth :)
I want someone to look at me like Jason looks at squarespace
Come shoot in Breckenridge, CO anytime. And bring that gorgeous bag with you!
I cane for the equipment and stayed for your character. That low key seriousness while being funny was brilliant !👍
I've learned to watch a grainydays video with one finger on the 'stop' button. Example as to why: 0:24. Two seconds of Easter-eggish delight, right there.

Lmao I love this dude. Great sense of Humor and love your Superbad reference with the journal. Been going through your old stuff. 10/10
Thank you for sharing Jason. I found this video be very informative and surprising. Considering the MANY amazing cameras that you own I have always assumed your camera bag was just filled with money.
"i gotta figure out this microphone thing"
*HEAVY DUCKTAPES*
Roadside picnic by Arkady and Boris strugatsky is a good science fiction book and it’s also what the film stalker is based off of
I woke up this morning, brewed a cup of tea and pondered how I could use my TLR on a tripod at 90 degrees angle.
Watched this and learned of the existence L brackets.
Thank you for the education, I shall write about this day in my diary.
I was so happy to see an upload!
I'm still happy, too.
I’m from Montana and have begun shooting film for the first time since I was a middle schooler in the 90s. Great videos and humor. I live a couple hours from glacier so I’m pretty lucky
Good blue tape
Usually for painting.
No mention of the paracord wrist strap!!! Those things are awesome.
Sick kit! I’m surprised you don’t bring the Leica along on longer trips! I should really do one of these videos since I’m always on the road shooting

Another gem of a video. Thank you for your work.
Mic fix was top notch
Shadows of Carcosa - good mix of cosmic horror from NYRB classics series. At the mountains of madness is still a favorite.
self titled is the hardest album, crawling in the dark and running away are too good
Gonna add some of that sick blue tape to my bag too
This is the funniest RUclips video I’ve seen in a long time. Never change 😂
i feel like i am always waiting for next video to fnd out what’s next humours or gag 🤪
i can attest that the ruckpack is an amazing bag. not only for photography but like everything else. it is going to the grave with me.
download is the way to go... you know pretty much all streaming services allow you to download a local version for this very reason.
That Plaubel Makina 670 doesn't get enough love from you for the absolute BEAST it is. You're too gassed up homeboy... 😅
You can download music to your phone too, y'know
H. P. Lovecraft's short stories are really good cosmic horror, he basically invented the genre. You can get a collection of them in one book.
About to write the same
hoobastank self titled is goated
Its cosmic horror is very subtle but that Icelandic show on Netflix "Katla" is really incredible.
Lost it at the microphone fix! :D Great video as always!
I think it’s obvious that the best Hoobastank record is The Reason.
I really appreciate that this is an affordable bag and I'm not being compelled by a stranger to spend all my savings on the latest brand collab luxury collapsible organic celebrity endorsed model for once.
„I‘m a good screamer.“ 😂😂😂
1:22 perfect fix 👍
Love your videos, man. Keep it up!
brilliant mate, love it
Jason, how cute you are! 👍
ForNever - All About You 🎶
I would love to hear what pen/pencil/writing utensil you use for your journal.
I thought I was the only one who got naked to take a dump... you've taken the shame away!
My cinestill800 film just came in cant wait to try it! 😀😀 they sent me a free sticker
Hoobastank - Hoobastank..... because it’s fact.
Loved the Mic fix 😀
Can you have a video to share how you store your negatives? Thanks!
The movie The Void...not too shabby. Though you will keep wondering if Pinhead and his Cenobite friends will show up.
I laughed so hard at that pepper spray joke 😂😂😂
I’ve been reading burning down the haus, it’s a great book about punks in east Germany in the 80s and how they affected the end of east Germany. Highly recommend
I would no watch the ordinary generic „what’s in my bag“ videos as I think the are obsolete but coming from you I thought it might be fun because of your humor 😉
Extra pair of pants. Genius move. A shutter trigger cable = cable release ;)
1:21 epic-blue-tape moment
Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson is a literary hard sci-fi. Don’t know how he managed to combine the two genres. Fav sci-fi book.
Nice video as usual mate, can you please explain your reciprocity table please.
Hahaha I love your humour mate, well funny and great content. cheers rob from kent in UK.
If that would be possible, I'd love to see a tutorial on that moving image effect you use at the end of your videos.
Cosmic horror book recommendation "Forge of God", Greg Bear; movie recommendation, same genre: "Event Horizon"
What camera do you use for video; looks nice, bit GoPro looking high saturation, but maybe that's just natural desert south west!
Really enjoy your vids. You remind me of Dewey from Malcolm in the middle somehow :) Keep up the entertaining shows.
We have the same dresser
the subtle choice of literature in these videos absolutely kills me HAHAHAHAHA
You'd enjoy Light by M. John Harrison, and the other books in the Kefahuchi Tract cycle.
Also. Nice bag.
I remember Ship of Fools by Richard Paul Russo being some pretty good sci fi horror but I read it a while ago
I thought Baxter would be stuffed into the bag :D guess not hehe curious the 400H in fridge takes a roll.........
Can I get Squarespace customer support with judgement though?
I know in the RUclips life line this is old as balls, but fuck I LOLed when he cut back to the taped together Mic! Bravo!😂
Two in the pank, one in the Hoobastank
Can we get a video of you eating your favorite foods?
T4 GANG STAND UP.
Also where’d you ship that SX-70 off to for repair?
might have to unsubscribe if it's not Brooklyn Film Camera
@@birgitbuchart2839 agreed.
where are the beers?
Alastair Reynolds is one of my favorite authors!! For some sort of cosmic horror vibes, check out Adrian Tchaikovsky’s “Children of Time” and “Children of Ruin”. Great books.
Jam all your shit in the backpack without much organization gang
Hey, for books, I have a suggestion. Not sure if you are into Sifi, but the Expanse is a great book series.
If one photographs in the cold, one should use a cloth cable release. Plastic's like concrete in the cold.
32 hours of Hoobastank! You're welcome, Hoobastank.🤣
Baxter!!
Thanks for explaining your back pack set up.
Now we know if you would be a back pack in real life you'd be yellow on the inside with all your guilts and regrets neatly organised.
I can’t with the tape 😂
Next one.. if there is a next one... could you close with a banjo solo? Square Space will understand.
I only watch your episodes for the square space scenes
hoobastank played in my city for free like 2 days ago!
This made me laugh really hard and inspired me!
Oooo! My straight husband has a new video out!
I love you 💜💜
Check out Eisenhorn trilogy by Dan Abnett or one of the other Warhammer 40k books cuz there's a lot of cosmic horror in them.
Ah, the ol' "should I buy film or figures?" Conundrum.
Microphone fix: 10/10
You should watch/read color from outer space! 🌌
Man, that microphone with tape made me laugh so hard.
That sneaky Yashica T4… when did you pick that up?
Probably for 5 dollars, in a thrift shop.
I had no idea I was missing out on 31 hours of hoobastank…
🤣
Everyone saying The Reason is insane. The self titled is THE hoobastank album.
my man 🙌
