      I have the same. I have panic attacks and anxiety. I’m in my 3rd month of being smoke free. I hope it will go away soon because I feel so depressed and vulnerable.

    Chris is such a dear heart! Helping people all over the world he doesn’t even know! I can listen to him and cry some tears without feeling like a loser. I do not often cry so its uncomfortable when it comes on. Thanks Chris for sharing your wisdom with us.

    Chris,
    God bless you , You are great help.
    When people ask me ,how i did it ,i tell them ,it totally depends on you + nobody else.
    You have to change your mentality about smoking.
    It has all to do with subconscious mind , because when you are asleep , you do not think about cigarettes.
    The problem starts ,when you are awake and start thinking about it.

      You're absolutely right Caspian. Changing our mindset is the best thing any of us can do for a successful quit!

      @bill Bloggs
      Bravo my fellow ex smoker !!!
      Do not let your mind to dominate your intellect.
      Remember the thought of cigarette is only for a second and if you do not pay attention
      it will exit from the back door.
      I personally found it helpful to remind myself that I am in charge ,not the tiny roll of paper filled with the nasty tobacco.

    Well Chris, I have bad news to report. My son had a meltdown with his bipolar, went into hospital, and you guessed it, I relapsed. I am now smoking more than ever. I plan to pick another quit date, using the gum. I knew this was going to be a weak link for me, and the link broke. My husband still smokes, and the cigarettes were right there in the room.

      Great idea, carol. I'm so sorry to hear of your trouble and of your son's mental health. I have a close friend with bipolar and it's painful to see how he gets when he's unwell. I did a short video about getting back on course that you may find helpful but you're right, I think a longer/more in-depth one would be helpful ruclips.net/video/o0jQLJlNv44/видео.html

    How about a video concentrating on the benefits and all the good things that happen when you do quit and encouragement to focus on them?

      This is a great one. I actually wrote something called "The Joys of Quitting Smoking" just recently that I haven't published yet but it's about this exact thing - let's celebrate all the wonderful things that happen we quit. I'll dig that out and record a video of it soon :)

    Great video. I've heard the craving for cigarettes only lasts 2 minutes. If you can distract yourself that long, you'll win. Quit almost 10 months ago. Had a dream that I smoked a pack of cigarettes. Woke up coughing. I don't think it will ever go away.

    • @knockoutgymbradford

      That dream is actually your mind letting go of the habit

    A video would be good on how easy it is to forget how bad smoking is when you hit the year mark as iv noticed ,ty

      @ChrisSkoyles  5 лет назад +2

      Great idea, Tony. It can be too easy to take the new freedom we find for granted and forget how bad things used to be. I love this topic and will put my thoughts together on it.

    • @MrTonypick
      @MrTonypick 5 лет назад

      Yes I've noticed after my craving went and my agitation that I was thinking about smoking more as I forgot how bad it was and how bad it made me feel, I suppose that's one of the main reasons why people start again, well done on your videos you have really helped me and I a greatful for that

    Do you ever do meditation? If so, it would be nice to hear about what your life was like before meditation, your experiences on how it has helped you, and how often you do it

    I have made it a bet or game if you will. The longer I go without smoking I get to splurge on gifts like a perfume I thought was too much money and an Hermes scarf. I will ride the non smoking tiger for as long as possible.
