Courtney's not a big player? But she won an immunity. Did you win an immunity?
I dont appreciate this courtney slander
Not to mention that every season needs people that are there more as characters than they are as power players, and can't get any better than Courtney in that sense, because even all these years later, if you ask Survivor fans to make a list of the best narrators/contestants that provide great one liners, I guarantee her name will always be in the top 5, if not the number 1 slot
Courtney is a casting dream. Not everyone on the cast is meant to be insanely athletic and competitive, and not everyone in life is going to be great in challenges. To fill the role of the less competitive but still interesting and full of personality players, Courtney is one of the best there is.
I think you have to weight the importance of characters in an Allstar season. Game play is one thing but great characters are the major draw in an allstar season for most of the audience (me included).
exactly the season wouldn’t have been as good if it was jus a bunch of game bots running around
Okay but I would’ve been sooooo excited to see Todd join the Courtney/Sandra duo. That trip would’ve been the most iconic trio in history and I guarantee you that Todd wouldn’t have fucked up the split like Tyson did so that trio probably would’ve shockingly dominated HvV 😭😭
Most of the original cast is perfect and the rest are really good. I think it shows because of how few people you switched out.
I think Todd's personal issues at the time would have made that impossible, unfortunately.
I think he was contacted for this season but refused too
@@twistedreviews9574 Really?? I thought this was at the peak of his alcoholism, but maybe I'm wrong
@@bigboiranch5055 I believe his alcoholism was the reason why he didn't move forward with the season. It's hard to remember ik he was contacted a few times but couldn't for several reasons throughout the years
Heroes vs Villains is loved both for gameplay, but also for the characters. Please, do NOT make Heroes vs Villains a gamebotted season.
I love yul! We were so robbed of Micronesia being a full all star season with yul tagging along with earl
Courtbey stayed, so i approv this
Sugar is a big character in survivor with a really special personality, in Gabon she was the Queen and with a better discussion at the final tribal she had a chance of winning. I think that she deserve more than Bob who win vaise of her, anyway I think she had better luck on the Villains tribe, where she should have been. That was maybe not the good season for her to come back, season 31, second chance would be better, I would love to see her play again like in Gabon but I think its over cause now she have family...
actually it's over because she tried to self not live after she was voted out first on HvV so I don't think she's ever coming back.
@@ultimate-xw6jl she tried to what?
@@Jakeexmvs she tried to overdose on drugs on purpose
@@ultimate-xw6jl yeah we can blame jt being a crazy weirdo a-hole for that apparently
When recasting seasons like these, I feel like you should have a limit on winners. If every all-star type season is filled with 5-6 winners, it really ruins the grandness of being a winner.
HvV seems to have taken into account how many past winners they put on each tribe. Funny enough, the cast was so good, there were people here that ended up becoming winners themselves, and even more had made it to or would make it to their own F2/F3, aka: the furthest you can actually get in the game.
@@casper_z1259 Fourteen out of twenty of them had either already gone the distance, or would do so later. Plus Cirie, who also would have reached Day 39 but for production suddenly changing the rules at the last minute. 😡
@@aperson22222 this comment 👏 👏 👏
Completely agree about what you said about coach. In fact he did a similar thing of wanting the best people to win. He wanted JT to win and all the crap about warriors and their honor.
You should do like a meme cast for season 40, like instead of Winners At War it could be just a cast of memes but like people that could realistically come back like J'tia, Shambo, Stacey (23) and people like that
I think the villains tribe is perfect in modern day Survivor but back during the season itself, Parvati, Coach and Tyson didn't seem very villainous. Egotists? Sure. They weren't villains though.
I think Parvati was considered a villain because she won the season after pulling off a MAJOR blindside on Ozzy, the golden boy of that Era, with an idol and his pocket, and proceeding to dominate a majority of the season. Granted I feel Cirie was the most strategic out of the Black Widow Brigade alliance and was on the Heroes tribe, but I guess Cirie’s smile and personality made up for her “villainous” (cutthroat) gameplay.
No one's a villain lmfao, it's supposed to show who's mote aggressive and passive, the shows underdogs and best players.
Parvati was a lock for the female side of things if you consider her Micronesia game, because at the time Survivor HvV filmed, Micronesia was pretty recent, and being seen as the leader of the first successful all female alliance, as well as betraying Ozzy and James, and her role in the infamous Erik blindside more than qualifies her to be a villain. Actually, out of the entire villains tribe, I'd say that the main two that both the other players and fans alike at the time would see as the biggest villains in terms of gameplay would be Parvati and Rob, and even the two of them saw each other as their biggest threat to win the gad
There more anti heros than villains
SHOCKED you cut James😳 but Yul is a beast
LETS GO
To me I don't really think cutting Randy makes sense. This isn't Survivor: Elite Players Who Happen to be Heroic or Villainous, it's Survivor: Heroes vs Villains. Randy is an iconic villain, one of the most stereotypically villainous characters in the entire first 19 seasons, and a type of villain we don't normally get in that he just wants to be an ass and is grumpy all the time rather than being a schemey Rob or Russell type. To me, that makes him a 10/10 perfect casting choice for this season, even if he has no chance to win.
Jeff said FairPlay would never come back
One thing I have to point out here is that Hatch was asked to come back, but was legally not able to leave the country due to still being under house arrest for tax evasion, which is also why he couldn't do RI, despite originally being the one cast to play against Russell on that season. Also, I'm totally here for the high quality entertainment that would've come from having Sandra on a tribe with both Russell and Fairplay, because talk about drama, fights, and trash talking confessionals galore
Randy's best case scenerio is everyone gets medevaced or quits
Solid picks but not really better than the original. Kathy and Tina weren't a necessity. I love Shane and Todd but I don't think I'd get rid of Coach for them
I wouldn't cut Coach for them. I'd move Coach into either James's or Colby's slot. It felt like the Heroes tribe was more "Who's been America's golden boy" for the male contestants. Meanwhile, someone like Matty (Gabon), Coach, Yul, etc really fit the general idea of a Hero more. I don't blame them for going for the bigger names, it makes for an easier season to advertise, but the tribes were just...weird. People downplay Gabon, but the big thing missing from the glorious trainwreck is Matty making the final 3.
While your choices are respectable, I disagree with the male villains composition. If you were to push through with them, the villains tribe will get decimated in the challenges as they are weak physically (having todd and fairplay) versus all those male heroes who are all athletic. Initial balance between two tribes is a big factor to make the game competitive and less predictable.
The only one I wouldn’t likely agree with is the FairPlay casting. I think Jeff has 100% gone on record saying he’ll never be back given that he quit. Would it be nice, 100% yes. But all of your other choices likely would’ve played; FairPlay I don’t think ever gets asked back.
I think the cast is perfect except for Danielle, Candice and Sugar
Sugar was a good casting choice. She just happened to be the first boot. Danielle made some sense as a villain. I got nothing for Candice but I don't dislike her.
Unless you meant the other way around, like "your recasting is perfect"
Yeh Sugar was an obvious choice for this season
@@drewlmao Like he said on the video Sugar wasnt in a good state of mind. I like Danielle more than most people but there were some better choices available and I absolutely hate Candice, she is not likeable and awful strategically, i really dont get her appeal
I swear to God if you don’t cast Sandra
Thank goodness
Also when’s the next dream cast🥺
I wasn’t a fan at the time Micronesia aired. What exactly was the perception of Parvati after she won? I feel like with Amanda losing her second jury vote, and the surprise switch to a final two, it discredited her win a lot. Did people think it was a fluke and Cirie was robbed or was she seen as a deserving winner?
Here's my cast:
Male Heroes:
Colby Donaldson
Rupert Boneham
Tom Westman
J.T. Thomas
Russell Swan
with Brett Clouser, Erik Erik Reichenbach and Terry Deitz being backup options, although someone from Survivor Samoa should be on to even things out, and I think a male from that season was more likely to come back from that season then a female.
Female Heroes:
Kelly Wigglesworth
Christy Smith
Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien
Cirie Fields (though I'd admit she probably should be a villain)
Amanda Kimmel
with Tina Wesson, Danni Boatwright and Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George being backup options.
Male Villains:
Rob Mariano
Brian Heidik
Rob Cesterino
Johnny Fairplay
Russell Hantz
with Todd Herzog, Coby Archa, and Richard Hatch(if he didn't have legal issues) being backup options, yes they are all LGBT, but that is just how I see it. Also the two Robs are starting together on a red tribe again, but whatever.
Female Villains:
Jerri Manthey
Sandra Diaz-Twine
Parvati Shallow
Peih-Gee Law
Corinne Kaplan
with Natalie Bolton, Twila Tanner and Ami Cusack being backup options.
Yes 6 people from All-Stars are back, but they are pretty strong examples of heroism and villainy in the public conscious, so I don't think the public would mind.
Didn't include the Ethan-Lex-Tom contingent because they is already too much representation from All-Stars and winner representation.
Natalie Bolton and Peih-Gee Law were swapped at one point my mind, but I personally decided to try for in-season connections as much as possible, so I think Amanda should play against Peih-Gee and Natalie should play against Erik. It's also why Coby is an alternative, to compete against Tom. I thought maybe having Stephen Fishback as a villain to compete against J.T., though I don't think Stephen is much a villain character.
Also like that there is two people called Russell the cast is pretty much unfamiliar with.
Just started a sim of this restructured cast. Episode 1: Colby and Fairplay find the idols, Shane has a meltdown, Sandra goes home first lol
Episode 3: Rupert fights with everyone! And goes home lol
At the final 6, Tina is voted out, after Tom and Parvati play their idols (the last night they could), cancelling out all the other votes (Parv would've gone home if she hadn't played her idol)
And somehow, someway, JT, wins! Parv had an epic immunity run from the final eight on, only losing the final six challenge, when she had an idol. It was JT, Parv and Tom in the final three. JT got 5 votes, Tom got 3 votes, Parv got 1 vote.
although the cast would be amazing, we are left with only four players who had only played once prior and didn't win (Courtney, Russel, Natalie and Shane) which to me takes away the opportunity from a lot of amazing one time players who were never afforded another outing. This cast has 7 winners and 11 players returning for their 3rd time, which considering the only all/half returning payer seasons at this point were All-stars and Micronesia, I feel the season would start to feel very same-y as a returning players season.
My cast would have been
Heroes
Stephanie
Nelieh
Cirie
Michelle yi
Peih-Gee
Jt
Colby
Rupert
Ian
Yul
Villains
Parvati
Sandra
Jerri
Tracy hugh wolf
Corrine
Russel
Rob
Shane
Richard
Penner
I am aware this is unrealistic just my dream cast
If Penner was available, I think he should have been on the villains tribe because of the way he swapped tribes in Cook islands and was given a poor edit throughout the merge
Nice now do all stars lmao
He already did.
@@cdawg4021 No he hasn’t
Its a shame there are so many winners, I understand why because they usually get more fleshed out characters, but at the same time I think I wouldn't put more than two on each tribe...
Pretty sure the producers associated Sugar with heroine wasn't for the heroic reasons Jeff...😂
I heard Corrine was gonna be on HvV but declined because of work reasons so I think Sugar was placed on the heroes tribe because of her rivalary with Corinne at FTC.
@@cdawg4021 I think I heard that too!
@@BanditSurvivorContent I also heard that the original winner Richard Hatch was asked back this season but was under house arrest at the time for failing to pay his taxes big bummer the guy didn't get to play again though he was asked back on WaW he was cut last minute because of the S39 incident.
@@cdawg4021 yessir. Also I believe Parvati was originally considered a hero but they couldn't let there be four Micronesia players so they swapped her and Candice
@@BanditSurvivorContent That swap made no sense.
I don't think we could put Todd on because he was struggling with his alcoholism back then.
Personally, I would have switched Randy with Jean-Robert
Seeing Courtney have to deal with Jean-Robert again would have been amazing 😭
Rob Cesternino on HvV would have been fantastic.
Biggest problem with your cast is well villains would get there shit rocked in challenges
You cut all the characters tho …
My version would be the same as the original cast but I would just replace Randy for Fairplay, Sugar for Tina and maybe Laura M instead of Candace
I would replace randy with hatch even though he couldn't go because his visa was denied by the court
Only problem i would have wtih cast like this is that Heroes would dominate challenges easily
IMO you need a rep from Samoa on the heroes tribe to balance things out. I think you could replace someone like Candice with Natalie White for that reason.
Most of this cast is really pretty good this was an awesome season you can't do a real legends season without half of this cast however I would swap out randy for hatch, sugar for Sierra reed from tocantins & Danielle with Natalie Bolton
fun fact, natalie bolton was origionally going to be on this cast but decided against it!
@@snowycatmsm2786 Natalie was on site as an alternate & was cut the day before the game began
@@58twright I remember in an interview tho she was an alternate and they ended up using an alternate, she was asked if she wanted to and decided against it cuz she wasnt feeling it.
Too many previous winners imo. You also cut out a lot of the biggest personalities.

How you gonna omit russell?
@@user-iq9vg3xd3t Russell Hantz did not deserve a place on Heroes VS Villains or the show Survivor.
@@gymrules27 except he does, he was the biggest villain on the show since Fairplay and him not being there tanks both Samoa and HvV as a season.
@@user-iq9vg3xd3t the show tried to portray him as a protagonist when in fact he is completely antagonistic and he is not entertaining whatsoever and the other players were unhappy playing with him on Heroes vs. Villains, by the way Russell was given an unfair and disproportionate advantage in Heroes vs. Villains as all the other castaways in Heroes vs. Villains didn’t have a chance to see his game in Samoa which wasn't the time for Survivor to give players that type of advantage
Personally I'd keep Natalie B for Caramoan so she can compete alongside Erik as I think that would be really fun and I'd replace Danielle with Ami instead.
Absolutely crushing my soul by replacing James 😫 but I do like Yul
Also the fact that Russell replaced Shane on this season is laughable
Candice doesnt fit the heroes tribe, she just fits raro tribe
is kathy really a hero tho
Remember when she heroically compared Jenna's mom's cancer to being a cancer to the tribe?
@@Rodanguirus well thats what im saying lol
you always have too many winners
Recasting is so easy
Sandra wasn’t a villain
Put her on Hero tribe
With how tribe strength heavy they were
She’s voted off first
No 2 time winner yet
Unless JT or Parv can run the game without blunders
Roper is not a hero he's too busy trying to get a hero's edit every season he's in but he's not a hero many people have said when the camera isn't rolling he's an a**hole plus let's not forget him trying to take fairplays head off just because he voted for does that seem very heroic to you because it doesn't seem heroic to me plus Rupert never actually plays the game he thinks he should make it to the end because he provides fish and he wears tie-dye and pretends to be a hippie and blood vs water he literally gave up so his wife can play terribly he should have just stayed in the game his tribe needed him that was very selfish of him to do just so his wife could have a chance to play the same goes for cat wanting Hayden to switch with her because she was worried she was going to lose the challenge yeah I get it he's better at challenges and he probably would have made it back and honestly I'm surprised you didn't do that because that would have been a great mark on his resume but it was selfish on her part because it's not his fault she got voted out she should learn to play better
Why not to replace courtney with ami cusack? So many micronesia players?
I always feel that ami cusack "end" survivor in a non-deserving way
Probably the second biggest female villain coming to the season, probably only next to parvati
I would cut amanda (1 less micronesia player) and put danni, only to put ami cusack instead of danielle (if not ami could be natalie bolton as well)
Oi
I’m just now through your intro where you talk about what a great cast it was originally, and eh, I don’t know. From the Heroes I think you can definitely eliminate Sugar and Candice right away, probably James and Amanda too. From the Villains, Randy and Danielle have no place there, and I’m not so sure about Sandra.
Also, clearer criteria for who’s a hero and who’s a villain are needed. You’ve got villains who did nothing all that bad heroes who did nothing all that great, and it feels arbitrary and unfair.
I do not think that Tom Westman is a hero he bullied a young 20-something year old kid into giving up $1000000 remember Ian would have won if him and Tom made it to the end
I love Courtney on HvV, but I think there were too many China reps, I would have rather seen someone like Twila.
Sugar wasn't even a hero,
Your old school bias really showed… not a bad cast but definitely biased
You are still wearing a mask in your house so your opinion means nothing.
I think people r confusing villain with just a nasty, crappy person....plus Rupert is not a Hero...whiny man child...
He almost killed Fairplay for voting for him that's not a hero I don't know why people like him so much
Nooo do a HvV 2 video
He did 2 years ago
