I'm surprised judge didnt call out the couple for their bold face lie about getting ONE drink from the bottle of his favorite drink... then later admitting it was 3-4 drinks (which might still be a lie). Makes me believe the guy when he said he personally served the wife her favorite drink. They're dishonest.

You don't need to be rich if you start two lawsuits after the party to claim back the money you spent. Anyone who wants to show off can do it. That is what has happened here. One side is lying and I think it is the plaintiffs. Notice how they said he didn't get his favourite drink and then was later forced to admit that he actually had three or four. If they will lie about that what else are they lying about. JM was being ridiculous when she said that there was testimony from three people. Those people being the plaintiff, her husband and the mother. Of course they are going to corroborate each other's stories.

Not mention that the couple should have called out their preferences in advance. From experience I don’t believe he ran out of liquor. I feel like he ran out of only the 2 that everyone drank like fish (Ciroc and Bulliet). Also when he started serving 30 minutes early, he should have told them that last call would be 30 minutes earlier. He had the right intentions but definitely should bring a liquor inventory sheet pre party and do one at the end. That would have told the true story. Because even the husband’s story changed from he had only 1 drink to 3-4, like wait a minute?!?!

The plaintiffs are sketchy. I believe the defendant that there was enough alcohol. Maybe some ran out. Deal wifh it. Drink something else. If it is free then deal with it. How can the accounts differ so much? He made out he didn't get his favourite drink and then next minute he admitted to having three or four. One side says the cups ran out at 21.00, the other 23.15. Someone is telling porkies and I think it is the plaintiffs. My impression is that they wanted to show off by having a big party and then afterwards start a bunch of lawsuits to reclaim the money. We know they have a lawsuit against the venue for the A/C not working. I don't trust them.

The fact that the defendant ran out of *CUPS* tells me he didn't plan properly. Even assuming he served water to 40 guests for 1/2 hour....there is no way he should've run out of plastic cups. And if the defendant really did have the Bulleit bourbon and Ciroc vodka then he would have just had it unloaded from the cargo van instead of immediately going to a store before searching the van. Remember, he claims he got there early....so both alcohols should've been available and pouring by party time.

The contract should also specify how many bottles of each liquor. I can't help if the crowd is full of alcoholics. At the end of the day, it should say how many drinks you can serve off each liquor, using variables that include if they're drinking rocks pours vs singles. And if they say that's not enough, amend the contract. I work in the service industry, and this is why it's so important to outline specifics, especially if you're telling them they won't run out of alcohol.

These prices are DIRT cheap. The vendor is not even getting $30 per head. And, the plaintiff is asking for about ten premium liquor brands.
“Limited open bar: $20 to $25 per head. Full open bar: $35 to $45 per head.”
It’s funny the defendant didn’t provide a receipt from his supplier to show that what was ordered is what was delivered.
The plaintiff sounds extra. First, a thirteenth anniversary party is nonsensical. It’s doomed from the start. Was the party on a Friday the 13th too?
The plaintiff must have a lot of alcoholic friends. It’s kind of funny to hear the aunt talking about “seeing more bottles at weddings”. I’ve never literally counted the bottles on hand when being served. That’s interesting.
It’s also comical she is suing the venue. I guess they are taking God to small claims court for the weather too.
These folks sound fancy with the “bullet” bourbon, bougie pronounciation of said bourbon, food truck, dressing rooms, and multiple lawsuits for the same party.
