Not from Bubwith but from the general area. In my younger years Bubwith was usually pronounced as Bubith. This seems to have fallen into disuse in modern times.
Rats nest? I suppose if you film with a wide angle setting, it doesn't look to scale. Most of those rats nests are big, expensive houses and that is where the money lives.
In 1985 there were 72 houses and around 81 people living in Breighton. You'd struggle to trow a stone from one house to the next. Everyone knew everyone. I bet most dont know the people nextdoor, yet Some of those houses are so close you can touch your neighbour's house.
BUBWITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- On the Isle of Axholme, there's a saying: "They've gone to Bubwith" is used if you were asking where someone was
I’ve lived at bubwith for a long time and I can say in the summer it’s really nice on a bright sunny day
On the outskirts of Bubwith, there's a Bungalow with loads of bikes for sale outside. Was always a landmark on the way to Brid
Never know, I might catch that when I do the likes of Foggathorpe/Holme on Spalding Moor :D
Halthorpe, the small hamlet between Bubwith and Foggathorpe
Brayton is a village part of Selby, Breighton is Breee ton
I can see why houses in those little places are expensive.....the scenery and surroundings are fantastic
Lovely part of the world, East Yorkshire. Very underrated IMO
Persimmon left the pole behind. I wish it was a Maypole but alas I've never seen it used in the 10 years of being here
Bubeth locals call it.
Aye seems so. I of course say it like we Lincolnshire folk would
I know Bubwith well .
Great village, easily one of my faves in East Yorkshire thus far

You are miss pronouncing Breighton as "Brayton" a place near Sheffield.
Bree-ton then, right?
I said it both on Facebook and in this video that "Brayton" might not be right. I expected to get someone saying this.
Also...a place near Sheffield...I think you're talking about Beighton?
That is indeed Bay-ton
@@TheVillageIdiot Better lol.
Brayton is also part of Selby.
