Happy New Year 2025 to you Sir, because of your tutorials, my color grading skills are in progress. Thanks once more. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I have Davinci Resolve studio, the paid version, so I have no problems following your tutorials
So it depends on what colour profile your camera shoots on. For the Canon 600d, I’m not sure you have C-log available on it (maybe with cine style) So if you shoot rec709 on it (which I suspect you do) then you can put your input colour space to rec709 and your input gamma also to rec709 Hope that helps
the first thing i've learned here is to choose 709 A for mac. i may be sound idiot, but can you please describe a little bit here why? what's the major difference between 709 2.4 gamma and 709A?
Haha you don’t sound idiot at all. It’s actually something most ppl didn’t know before now. The reason why it’s recommended to use 709A for Mac is because from experience, most people noticed that your final exported colour stays truer to how you graded it than when you use gamma 2.4 on a Mac. Have you noticed sometimes when you export, your contrasts doesn’t feel like what you graded in the Davinci software? That’s usually the culprit. There’s also an export setting that helps to combat that also
@@TheLazyFilmmaker_ o Man.. i got it. like sometimes i happens in Premier Pro as well. on Mac, when we export a video it's less saturated or less contrasting. so the solution was to use some QT LUT while exporting to get the quality as close as possible while exporting.
@@TheLazyFilmmaker_i am watching from Pakistan. Benn really fan if Waqas Qazi. But after watching your videos, i am really impressed. You are providing highest value content free of cost man.
Thanks man. I used to watch Waqas too, not so much lately but he’s also a great guy. Thanks for being a part of this community. Are you a cinematographer? Or you only do colour?
Hi Papa, ooh nice, can you please send me a message on Instagram @thelazyfilmmaker_ and I can share my number there or you email me at tsaintuk@gmail.com
@ I’m watching from Lagos Nigeria. And please where do you base. I’m a young filmmaker. I focus more on cinematography and Editing, currently building my journey to becoming a better colorist. You don’t really have ideas how this your node tree have save a lot of us much struggle.
Ooh nice. You are welcome man. I’m truly glad I can offer some value and help out in my own little way. I live in Manchester but I used to live in Lagos around 4 years ago

I have downloaded the nodes tree but it's not working if I apply grade and it's only showing one node
@@DirectorSinks which of them did you input? Did you try the DPX version?
I have tried both... Maybe it's because am using DaVinci resolve 16
That’s quite strange. However is there a reason you haven’t upgraded to Davinci 19?
@@TheLazyFilmmaker_ yeah , am using a small computer, it can't handle DaVinci resolve 19
Ooh I understand. You can follow my video, and use it to build your own tree just like mine, then grab a still and save it as a powergrade
Bro you can help me grade my footage shot on pocket 3 D-log
