This is quite beautiful! And thank you for NOT playing music in the background. It allowed me to truly concentrate on whatever you are doing and saying.
I somehow stumbled onto the world of altering composition notebooks and this video is by far the best. The most creative and artistic. It looks like something out of Tolkien, I love it.
Draw a line of black magic marker along the edge of the spine before you do anything else and it deals with the white showing. Love your ideas here. Thank you
Retrospect….should have crinkled😉but i was worried about the application of the dendritic print over a lot of texture! . I thought about embossing but I don’t have a folder that would accommodate the size of the cover--I’ve done the embossing in smaller pieces in various sizes and different textures before and put them together…ahh, another day another comp book!! Thank you for hanging in there on my channel💕 always appreciate your input!
I collect them when I see them, many are from the craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michals and some I order from Pandahall. Glad you are enjoying the comp book makeovers--have quite a few more t try😀
This a wonderful series! The recipients of these gifts are going to be thrilled. May I suggest making your dendritic prints on two acitate sheets or stamping blocks? I I have used glass and cut my fingers on the edges. Just a suggestion you will get the same lovely effect and it is easier to separate. TFS. 🙏💌
What a great suggestion and I have both!!! I will definitely give that a try. I always have the glass on hand for the cyanotypes (hint: next comp book😉). I’m glad you are likely this series!!
I have Done quite a few of these for my own use…I’ve not had one warp on me. I do always dry them soon and we’ll after application and coat with the hard coat.
Saw the link for the Cyanotype Cover but when I click on it, it says private. Am I doing something wrong? Love these ideas for Christmas gifts and would love to be able to continue following! Help!!!
Okay. I'm not very tech savvy. Saw it on my notifications list a couple days ago and it said private. I'll try again later in the week. Whew! That I'd messed up 😊
I don’t believe so, it is a Stik flat glue according to Blicks web site. Yes! paste is water-based, clear when dry, non-toxic, slow to set, recyclable, and acid-free for archival work.

Thank you Connie!!
Beautiful!!!
Thank you!!!
Dendritic prints are always fun to see what of them. Anything that give the impression of a tree is a winner.
I agree! They are so unique!
This is outstanding 💜 looks like leather and I'm loving your dendritic circles. They look like trees of life
Thank you Cheran!!! Appreciate your comment. I love the randomness of the dendritic technique!
Cool concept of the composition book cover and dividers.......😻
Thank you! Sometimes I like to put my thoughts in categories, especially when thinking about projects as I’m all over the place😂

Happy you found me! Glad you are finding content you enjoy!
Love this idea! I crinkle up the bag or put it trough my embossing machine for more texture. ❤

Glad to hear it! I did about a dozen of those😂, I was running out of ideas!
Is the closure going to be long enough after it’s filled with art?
I tend to just write in my journals; I would extend the closure based on your intentions!
I love these composition book makeovers. Beautiful! Where do you get those unique charms you use on your projects?❤
I collect them when I see them, many are from the craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michals and some I order from Pandahall.

This is gorgeous!! I love it!
Thank you! I lean toward grungy, leathery things! Glad you like my composition do over!

I love this!🤩
Thank you! I’m enjoying coming up with new looks for the comp books!
Love this! Can I use Modge Podge Matte instead of glue and water?? (I'm new to this.)
Yes ModPodge of any kind would work just fine! The glue and water is just a homemade Mod Podge and cheaper to use in the long run!
Beautiful. But how do you keep the cover from warping?
I have Done quite a few of these for my own use…I’ve not had one warp on me. I do always dry them soon and we’ll after application and coat with the hard coat.

It is scheduled for this weekend! The thumbnail shouldn’t be showing!!

Is YES paste similar to a glue stick?
I don’t believe so, it is a Stik flat glue according to Blicks web site. Yes! paste is water-based, clear when dry, non-toxic, slow to set, recyclable, and acid-free for archival work.
I didn't mean to hit thumb down
That’s ok! 💕 appreciate you letting me know!
