The old barn on the property would make a great barn conversion if it could be rescued… just add a nice big porch/verandah across the front

What an amazing transformation from overgrown to mown. If you ever consider a career change, urban archeologists could learn from your skills discovering and redefining the stairway.
Thanks for protecting your self by wearing gloves, eye protection and a breathing filter. You need not expose yourself to molds, fungus and other parasites that might be waiting dormant in dry leaves and tall grasses. Wishing you and your bride a blessed week filled with gentle rains, seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace brother

Thank you for protecting your lungs by wearing that mask/respirator. I watch a lot of people who are doing good things like you do (cleaning up lots and yards that people have abandoned and/or can't take care of themselves and can't afford to hire someone to do it for them), and far too many of them don't mask up and are breathing in all that dust and particles and who knows what kinds of chemicals that may be on the ground? Yes, I believe there was a house or some kind of structure there at one time, otherwise it would be pointless to have steps and a sidewalk leading into the lot!

I liked how you cleaned up the gutter of the streett and the sidewalk area, but I have to admit I was a bit sad to see the wildflower meadow go. It was probably nice for bees etc. I'm a bit weird - I like things a little bit wild in Nature. Anyone know what the flowers were? I saw mauve/blue ones and a few pink ones.

    • @philtucker1224

Ironically it wasn’t any sort of wildflower meadow, it was just an abandoned and unloved suburban plot dragging down the security and values of all the nearby properties. (Fortunately there are millions of square miles of natural wildflower meadows all over the country so don’t worry yourself too much! )😁🖖
