A few years ago I forgave someone who did something really really bad to me. A few hours later God spoke to me so clear the words "I'm so proud of you". I could not stop crying for a few hours after that. I still get goosebumps when I think of it.

What did you just fall out of a coconut tree? You know Jesus said pray in private right? So that you don’t put in airs to look righteous before others.
The answer is "yes". Anger, however justified, should not be cultivated as it begets a cycle of violence. Seek justice and righteousness. Be slow to anger and quick to forgive. Love God and treat others as you wish to be treated.
I love this and how you used the word cultivated. Thank you very much. It helped me to refocue and reimagined a angst that I had justified in a way that is more fruitful to me and everyone else around me. Godspeed to you and your family.
@@ignacio1088 Yes. Yes, it does. But it's a very broad group you made here. Ethnicity is one thing. People that dont look like one another and come from different places. No reason to even discuss. But when you bring sexual immorality into the discussion, love and acceptance are two different things. Care for people, be kind to people, be loving to people, to ALL people, but sometimes, the most loving, and kind, thing to do is telling someone that: Though you love them and are there for whatever care they need, and will treat them with dignity, the ways in wich they violate the will of God will not lead to ultimate satisfaction, or to eternal life, but the same wrath of God that lies in the fornicator, the liar, the one that looks to lust, and all us when we were in our sins, and all of humanity without Christ, lies on them, because of their immorality. But God has His arms stretched and is mighty to save, come as you are, and expect to be changed by the spirit. I have no idea when we decided, as a culture, that love means acceptance of behaviour that leads to a bad conclusion. In conclusion, love is not spiteful, but it can be stern in it's kindness.
@@ignacio1088 I can tell something is troubled in your heart by you asking this. May God soften it. But, to answer your question. Yes. All humans regardless of race, ethnicity, creed, or sexual preference are worthy of love and respect for they to are made in the image of God.
You guys!!!! This is genius level!!! To be able to visually animate The Word of God in such a brilliant understandable way. It’s visual poetry. I’m only 3 mins in. Oh my when the little man lusts after the woman and turns her into a literal object!? And He gets the revelation that her body and soul is more than just something for him to use, like an object… That was so powerful! You guys at the Bible Project are so amazing! I also loved how you visually showed the marriage covent as a string the man was still tethered to even though the wife he discarded was nowhere close to him. It showed that God was wanting men when they choose a wife to be diligent and sure, not just because she was someone beautiful they wanted to sleep with and then eventually move on with. Again God doesn’t want us to think of people as objects, objects you replace and upgrade when you see a new model. God wants us to look at the soul of the human we are choosing to connect with and make sure it’s one that we want to team up with for life. We both get to choose, but we must choose wisely, or just be single. When you just settle because you don’t want to be alone, you’ll want a divorce because the grass will always seem greener somewhere else. I am just geeking out. I love how the animator Josh said he made the choice of the widow having an inner world and and outer world. So deep because we are spiritual being having a physical experience. I think back to scripture where it says but Jesus didn’t trust the men because He could see their hearts. How people think they present themselves one way but are another way, sometimes you can overtly see it, and sometimes you can’t see the evil hidden in their thoughts. But God knows our thoughts and our hearts. So someone who can present themselves as a frail little old lady doesn’t fool God because He can see how big the contempt, anger, wrath and lack of value she has for others. Jesus sees past the mask. Our outer shell. These fleshly bodies are just rentals to contain our spirits. ✨✨✨

@Brando550 in my church, the pastor always ends the service with the apostolic blessing from 2 Corinthians 13:13: The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. I think this is a good alternative to the priestly blessing (may the Lord bless you...), of Numbers 6:22-27.
Cutting to the heart of the matter is what Jesus did best. No one gets out without being salted by the fire of righteousness that is Jesus the Christ. Love you guys and always grateful for everything that you do to help get these amazing truths across🔔❤️🔔
Thanks for sharing! Delicately, if I’m understanding your comment the way I think you’re communicating, all being salted by the fire of righteousness before getting out would mean that all would receive and follow Jesus, living as righteously as we can in a sinful state in imitation of Christ, which isn’t true. Only those who receive Jesus and abide in God (learn, obey, and teach God’s commands) will receive salvation and be transformed spiritually, and thus also physically. Jesus didn’t come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. Fulfilling it doesn’t mean that all who simply believe in Him will receive Him, but that He fulfilled the requirement for perfect eye-for-eye atonement: - 1 man brought condemnation on all - 1 man brought salvation to all so that all MIGHT receive it (Romans 12:9). As God calls us to be imitators of Him as He is of Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1), we are still held to the Law (Matthew 5). 🤪
Quite literally a radical. What is a potentially enlightening mind game is the thought that since Jesus was crucified for his conduct back then, we can assume that if he lived in our times, he would meet a similar fate, provided he was here incognito. We can learn from various other case studies that the well-established existence of the christian faith in today's world would not be a safeguards against that, but that such a radical path will always create enemies, probably even more so the more you preach love and peace since nothing terrifies the Devil in people as much as that prospect.

I am curious as to how the conversation will go when your time in this life comes to an end and you die. When you are standing in front of Christ saying, “I don’t believe you exist”, I wonder what the reply will be.
Hey. Just passing by to say, God's love is really not a metaphor. And He really has his arm extended to you. I was an atheist also, learning to trust in the clear, visible, empirical and controlable. But the moment you give up on your own capability, is when the Savior comes. Eternity is a long time. Please, think about this with utmost importance. Not the thing you would like to discover being worng about when it's too late.

Hey brother, First let me say, you are not alone. I also have felt a very similar thing in my heart. There might be a reason for that anger but most importantly is, are you surrendering that anger to God? I ask because every time I feel this anger, it only gets better surrendering it to God. To be honest, sometimes it takes longer for it to go away completely than others. All I know is that I feel as God works it out little by little and starts revealing things he wanted me to see. I hope this helps you brother and I pray God guides you through any attack of anger in Jesus name, Amen. [21] Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” [23] Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. I received a dream about this after asking God to give me new eyes to see these sins. The thing is that Jesus brought forth these ideas earlier, in a time and place where the language and culture would have been easily understood. He also added real-life examples, in his own walk through his life, yet we still continued with the same hearts of stone. It takes the transformation brought about by the Holy Spirit to soften our hearts, and to make us truly able to 'hear and do'. To say that you won’t think sexual thoughts about another person (other than your spouse) or not be angry with someone in any way makes the concept of repentance moot-as is the case with everyone else. We will always be murderers and adulterers to God.
@@rickybobby9797 Just wanted to say that God's love is greater than any sin of the world. Jesus bore the consequences of all our sins and wants us to have a genuine heart of repentance. While we are always going to fall short of God's glory, Jesus wants us to turn from sin every time and to turn to Him and trust His ways. There is a difference between trying (at the very least) to turn from sin and deliberately sin which causes us to separate from God. Father, I pray that we continuously learn to submit to You, help us overcome every temptation, in Jesus' name, Amen.

@@flakamulata it takes strength to judge righteously, to hate evil without dishonoring others, and to be forgiving. But that sort of strength is only found in, and comes from, the Lord. I suppose that's what they meant by it.
Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath. Jesus was angry when he walked in His temple...He flipped the moneychangers table! His house is a house of prayer!!!! AMEN!!
We can trust Jesus with being angry where we cannot trust ourselves. The "Be angry but don't sin, don't let the sun go down on your anger" is Paul exact quoting Psalm 4:4 in the Greek translation . ""When you are disturbed, do not sin ponder it on your beds, and be silent" NRSV. From the Hebrew which has no command to be angry
Yup, people are getting it wrong. We need the spirit of Christ to understand that message. Jesus was exposing the idea of self righteous because the pharisees were all about keeping the law. So it broke them to hear Jesus even raising the standard. That was to expose the truth of needing a savior than a new set of rules to follow. Simply put, if indeed anyone would then go ahead and implement the wisdom and law that Jesus ascribed to, then we wouldn't need a Savior. The call is to the fullness of Christ in us and coming to the full knowledge of God, as that's his Desire. Once we've learnt to accept the Christ, and the gift of righteousness- we will effortlessly find Joy in living right. For then we will be doing it because we are already justified[New identity], not trying to get justified.
@@Liminalplace1We can also trust ourselves to be angry and NOT sin. With the help of the Holy Sprit. I get angry with my children with their disobedience but that anger doesn't cause me to sin. I can't recall the exact scripture, but the lesson here about anger should not be construed to mean that we should never be angry, as Christ and God have been angered before. But we should be _very_ mindful about where our anger leads us and not let it simmer or grow into something explosive.

I thought this video was well done. Jesus was teaching us that outward actions are manifestations of what's going on inwardly. If we take care of the inward issues of hate, lust, & objectifying others, then it will never turn into the outward actions of murder, adultery, & divorcing for the wrong reason.
Anger is a God given emotion. (We can be angry at the murder of a child.). It’s not bad at itself. It’s what you do with anger can determine if it’s a sin or not. 1. You can spew it 2. Hold it in 3. Study it Studying it is the only healthy and Godly way. Understand why and how to deal with it.
Anger & Murder: I don't care if you're a human being, you're beneath me, and I can lash out at any perceived slight towards me to any degree I want! Lust & Adultery: You exist for my personal pleasure. The Divorce Debate: I'm going to throw you away like a worn-out scarf, even though I made a promise that I would stand by you, love, you, and care for you forever. (This last part used to vex me considerably, and I would ask things like "what about cases in which someone is being abusive", but I get the point now!) All of them: You are lesser/different from me, and that gives me the right to do whatever I want to you.
The answer to the question of neglect or abuse at point 5:49 of the video is that Jesus said to love your wife as christ loved the church (ie, willing to sacrifice everything even your own life to keep her as long as what you do is not illegal or unbiblical). Also, you have to constantly ask yourself what would I want me to do if I were her (considering her experiences, knowledge, etc Luke 6:31).
Therefore, they are sins and the wife is to follow the biblical guidance on how to deal with it like with any other sin. 1)If someone offends you, tell them (Matt 18:16) but speak the truth (Eph 4:15) in love (ie patient, kind, gentle, etc 1 Cor 13); 2)After repeatedly (it has to be a number of times as listed in the bible) telling them, you can leave them and have nothing to do with them if they are unrepentant of their sin (keep in mind repent means to change one's mind. They don't have to change the behaviour but "by their fruits you will know them"). (Leaving in modern terms, this is called separation) 3) You cannot, however, divorce. You may never be able to have sex with anyone else again unless someone dies or participates in sexual immorality at which point, the marriage vow is then broken. Luckily, abusive people tend to also be impulsive and God has the power to free you from that marriage bond if the abusive spouse moves on because they cannot control themselves. Don't do a David, though. 4) Relevant to unmarried: this is why you should seek someone who already loves you as Christ loves the church and whom you can submit to in every regard (if you're a woman) and marry a woman who is willing to submit to you and whom you can love as Jesus loved the church. Not Rush and get to know them in varying circumstances including sharing all your oddities with them as Mary did with Joseph and listening to God's guidance
Thank yall. Really interested in this. Especially when Jesus connects lust to adultery and not fornication. Does that mean if we lust, we sin against our future spouse (if we are single)? What if we never marry?
This is a tough one for many people. It's not that we sin against a future spouse as much as against God, and ourselves. Jesus is directing us to love others, and lust is not loving others - it is entirely selfish. It should turn us from "how can I feel better by having this person/thing?" to "how can I help this person or others by what I choose to do?" instead.
Something I do personally is count the cost. If I'm looking at someone, I consider the financial cost of any thought that passes through my mind and/or suggests in my emotions which influence actions. For example, the financial cost of raising a family and providing for them.
I'm a developing Christian artist and seeing you guys work on the bible project is so inspiring.. it'll be a dream come through to work with or aid you guys in the future

my pastor at my previous church would say this at the end of every service. I think more churches should end their services with that blessing
Amen 🙏🏻 May it be so for you as well in Jesus' Precious Name 🙏🏻
Amen, and to everyone else as well
@Brando550 in my church, the pastor always ends the service with the apostolic blessing from 2 Corinthians 13:13:
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
❤🎉❤
Thanks for sharing! Delicately, if I’m understanding your comment the way I think you’re communicating, all being salted by the fire of righteousness before getting out would mean that all would receive and follow Jesus, living as righteously as we can in a sinful state in imitation of Christ, which isn’t true. Only those who receive Jesus and abide in God (learn, obey, and teach God’s commands) will receive salvation and be transformed spiritually, and thus also physically. Jesus didn’t come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. Fulfilling it doesn’t mean that all who simply believe in Him will receive Him, but that He fulfilled the requirement for perfect eye-for-eye atonement:
- 1 man brought condemnation on all
- 1 man brought salvation to all so that all MIGHT receive it (Romans 12:9).

I’m going through the hardest season of my life, and I can’t stop being so angry. I’m angry with myself, my kids, God, I’m angry. It’s rotting me from the inside. I don’t even recognize myself anymore. I pray to Jesus and beg and scream for change. I’m just lost. Idk what to do anymore.
I hope you're doing better. In Jesus' name, amen.

And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”
[23] Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

Jesus is risen. Revelation 1:18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.
I received a dream about this after asking God to give me new eyes to see these sins. Immediately got uncontrollably tired, fell asleep, and God showed me through an instructing warning type of terrifying dream. When I woke up He made me know that I know that I know it was from Him and He showed me through my already open Bible as soon as I woke up. It was open right to these sins in Mathew during His sermon on the mount.

We should continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will guide us in our daily lives.

May we repent of our sins and trust God's wisdom
To say that you won’t think sexual thoughts about another person (other than your spouse) or not be angry with someone in any way makes the concept of repentance moot-as is the case with everyone else. We will always be murderers and adulterers to God.
@@rickybobby9797its about cultivating sin in our hearts, why not pray to God about this subject?
@@rickybobby9797 Just wanted to say that God's love is greater than any sin of the world. Jesus bore the consequences of all our sins and wants us to have a genuine heart of repentance. While we are always going to fall short of God's glory, Jesus wants us to turn from sin every time and to turn to Him and trust His ways. There is a difference between trying (at the very least) to turn from sin and deliberately sin which causes us to separate from God. Father, I pray that we continuously learn to submit to You, help us overcome every temptation, in Jesus' name, Amen.

You were never holding God up so you can’t let Him down. The fact of the matter is, God knew you before you were even conceived. He knew your struggles and all before you even got here. All He needs is you to turn to Him and move away from sin because He will help you. There is never a temptation that you cannot overcome, He says so. ❤❤God bless
This reminds me of a excerpt from a required read in high school: “there is only one sin, only one. And that is theft. Every other sin is a variation of theft. When you kill a man, you steal a life... you steal his wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness... there is no act more wretched than stealing.”

Thanks to Jesus, sin isn’t ours to kill or destroy. He has already defeated it on your behalf. Just fully submit to Him and His will for your life. Temptations and sin will keep coming. But He gives us power and the ability to stare it in the face, and say NO in the name of Jesus. He has abundant and never ending grace for you. He is not mad at you and He is not disappointed in you.
God is BRILLIANT
Y’all crushed it on this one.
1. You can spew it
2. Hold it in
3. Study it
Studying it is the only healthy and Godly way.

(This last part used to vex me considerably, and I would ask things like "what about cases in which someone is being abusive", but I get the point now!)
All of them: You are lesser/different from me, and that gives me the right to do whatever I want to you.
This is beautiful and speaks to my heart. Thank you Jesus for your teachings and life. 🙏
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! It's great to hear our resources are impacting you in such a meaningful way.
1)If someone offends you, tell them (Matt 18:16) but speak the truth (Eph 4:15) in love (ie patient, kind, gentle, etc 1 Cor 13);
2)After repeatedly (it has to be a number of times as listed in the bible) telling them, you can leave them and have nothing to do with them if they are unrepentant of their sin (keep in mind repent means to change one's mind. They don't have to change the behaviour but "by their fruits you will know them"). (Leaving in modern terms, this is called separation)
3) You cannot, however, divorce.
How about today's world? Where women treat men like second class citizens, initiate divorces, file false cases and ruin their lives?
God bless you animator and others who are involved in bringing the core meaning of the Sermon on the Mount in depth. Amen.
Woooo! Can’t wait!
Man…….This was soooooo solid 💪🏻 💪🏻 💪🏻
God bless you so much guys
