The speaking voice of Mikhail Zlatopolsky.
Zlatopolsky had an enormous voice and was extraordinary in the realm of bass singing. Mikhail also held the Guinness World Record for being the lowest bass in the world at one point. He also possessed incredible power and resonance. There are anecdotes stating that he shook the bodies of the other choristers when he sang in the contra octave.

Все только и слушали его уникальный тембр голоса, даже в разговоре этой записи, но приэтом почти никто не вдумался в то, что он там передал. (

In his own words, the bass is dying and the soloist is the one that they always have paid attention to and his gift is from God...

Even though when it comes to liking people as a whole this guy from Greece is my favorite oktavist, when it comes to talent and music this is my favorite oktavist. Zlatopolsky was a beast! I wonder if we’ll ever have a good legend ever again. Some basses who are not quite oktavists, like Tim Storms, may reach lower notes than Zlatopolsky, they use microphones to make their sound louder. Their timbres aren’t nearly as dark as his.

How did you find out the colors? I don't know how colorizing works but this looks extremely accurate.

The first photo was already in color and is from the Mikhail Zlatopolsky Documentary Pt. 2 on the Oktavism Channel
      At the timestamp 1:02:34: ruclips.net/video/2QU2V_sFdHM/видео.html
      The other image from google:

I also think the color was added later and the photo was originally black and white because those days taking pictures in color even if possible was rare.

My speaking voice is just as deep... yet, I cannot sing as low as Zlatolasky. He was something very special.

I looked at your videos, and either your ears don't work or something idk. because Mikhail has to be the deepest I've ever heard. Your voice is not in the deep range at least to my ears.

@@TheDevilishSmile, you have heard me on a shit mic and dealing with partial vocal fold paralysis (vocal fold paresis). Over the past 3 years, I have dealt with an issue that paralyzes one side of my vocal folds, which makes my voice go higher than it is actually is. If you like, I can do a video of my condition, and show my diagnosis.

@@TheDevilishSmile, if you did watch my A0 subharmonic video, I didn't switch to subharmonics until I dropped below F1. On a good day, I can still hit D1 in full chest voice. And my vocal projection was loud enough to distort the mic at G1. No, I don't consider myself an Oktavist, but I am a trained bass singer, who did train as a basso for a couple years. A nice side-effect of my current condition, however, is I am now able to do whistle notes (up to D7) like a woman.

      From 0:00
      When asked about his voice:
"No doubt it is a gift from God. In my family, nobody ever sung. We were a working class family away from the theatric stage."
      From 0:15 onwards
When asked about the rarity of oktavists:
"The fact is there are little oktavists even in Russia, an oktavist extinction so to say. The reason is because conservatories and musical schools don't work on selection and education for choir singers and basses. They are focused on soloists."
