Tony Bennett - Final 2 Songs

Had the privilege of seeing Tony Bennett perform Sunday, February 9, 2020. At 93, you can't help but be in awe of him. It didn't matter that his voice is not what it use to be, or that at one point he did the same song twice in a row (the fantastic backing band stuck with him flawlessly). He sang from the heart without lip-synching, without teleprompters. He stood on stage for close to 90 minutes, emotionally delivering hit song after hit song. He's also a great humanitarian. But I'll leave that to another discussion. On February 9th he was loved by thousands here in Durham NC, and he loved us right back. Just what we needed in today's world. Here's my capture of his final 2 songs.
A beautiful touch at the end - he raises his glass of water to the audience, a heart warming tribute to what we all experienced together. And then, watch carefully, I'm glad I captured this-- When he walks off stage for the last time, right by the curtains stage left, he gives himself his trademark thumbs up, as if to say "Well done Tony". Indeed, well done.
