Huge fan of Olivia for life. I saw Xanadu when it came out and hated how stupid it was. BUT what a great bunch of music by Her and ELO and WHO KNEW she could DANCE like that!!! A whole new reason to have the hots for her for LIFE!! Such an awesome woman
@@edithcarter3554 Indeed! I feel so miserable now that she has departed. I mean, she wasn't related to me but the simple fact knowing she's not in this world any longer, is a feeling I can't explain but makes me really sad. This world is less good without her. I'm sorry; it's just that I need to say how much she meant to many of us that lived the time when she was shining so high and so strongly. No matter what, she'll live forever in our hearts. And yes, I think the same, she was so talented and she was such a doll.
@@charliebowman785, it is nice for me to see that I am not alone in this feeling. Never happened to me before. I feel truly devastated. Didn't even had the chance to ever go to any of her concerts. But now I understand that, without realizing it, since the first time I saw her when I was just a little kid and fall in love with her, just like it happened to millions of other kids all around the world, since then, her angelic beauty, her sweet voice, her kindness and care for others, her sunny smile was always there throughout all these years... It's like we took it for granted that she would always be here with us. And suddenly she is simply gone of this world. It really hurts. Badly.😢 Thank you for sharing your feelings. I fully understand the pain.
@@saulm58 you caught exactly the picture. That expresion of "we take things for granted" it's what takes us by surprise and in Olivia's case, we all knew she was seriously ill but I guess that our selfishness doesn't let us see beyond what is obvious and what is going to happen. Believe me, last night I woke up at 12:30 and like an automat, I went to the laptop and opened an streaming page to watch "grease". I couldn't help it, I burst in cry just listening her voice singing "hopelessly devoted to you". I'm trying to make my mind to change the track because this is insane. I'm watching "when Harry meets Sally"..... What a coincidence! Meg Ryan, a beautiful blue eyed blonde! My mind is playing sick games on me. I opened my handy and got your comment. I'm so thankful for sharing your feelings too. Now I know it is completely normal what I feel. I really thank you.
@@charliebowman785 I can see we are going through a very similar experience. It is indeed normal to have these feelings. For us who really loved this wonderful artist and exceptional woman, her departure truly represents like a personal loss. So I think it will take some time for this pain to subside. But I've also been thinking during this painful transition that I don't want that all these feelings devoted to her be in vain. Because time will pass and then we will continue with our daily lives. Olivia doesn't deserve that. So I want to try then to bring about something positive from these feelings that have hit me so hard. Someone mentioned in one of the comments that he was touched so much that he will no longer be the same. In these moments that I am particularly sensitive, I've been reflecting on that, and I would just like to try to honor her with what she did as a way of life, which is to be more compassionate and considerate to others. To try to bring joy and positivism as much as we can. Olivia set a great example. Despite her fame and success, she never turned vain or selfish like many artists tend to become once they reach fame and fortune. On the contrary, till her very end, she was always kind and generous to others. I can only imagine her personal pain, sufferings and anguish dealing with cancer for 30 years and, despite that, she continued trying to help others and bring a message of positivity and love with that unique sunny, smile of hers. I know for that there will be no other like her. Too many beautiful things coincided in this incredible woman. I don't want to see the beautiful effect that her beautiful presence, her sweet smile, and angelic voice had in us be vanished. It will live in us and we can share it with others, as a tribute to her. In part, I see that this is precisely what we both have been doing here sharing our feelings about her. I am also really thankful to you.

Olivia! wow what a woman. She sings, plays her rolls and also she performs.....in this amazing dance on high heels with a very shiny floor.
So talented and such a doll!
What a great dancer you are Olivia!! You could have easily been a dancer instead! So light and graceful! Hope you are having fun dancing and singing in heaven!
Just love watching Gene Kelly...his dancing is so effortless.
Essa é sem dúvida a cena mais bonita desse filme! Parabéns ao saudoso Geny Kelly e à saudosa Olivia Newton-John, sua parceira de dança nessa belíssima apresentação que na minha humilde opinião valeu o filme inteiro!
I was 16yo, in Guadalajara. Well aware of the legend of Gene Kelly. BUT I was so impressed with Olivia’s dancing, so effortlessly natural. Like she did that every day.
God bless you, Liv. And you are in my prayers.
Okay, this made me cry. Newton-John did a very credible dance routine. What a shame she didn't do more.
I love watching Gene Kelly dance. Olivia was my childhood crush and love watching her dance as well. They both are so talented.
This is my Gene was my favorite dancer. He was one of the reason I got into dance. Olivia is just amazing. This movie was a dream for me.
Gene Kelly was my childhood crush!
Gene taught her how to dance in this scene and he made it simple enough to make his partner look great. Considering his age when he never lost his grace.
A very criminally underrated song.
This was and remains a joyful testament to this great artist.
My favorite song from this film. It's such a beautiful duet.
What movie is that?
@@julianadossantos8217 It's a movie called Xanadu (pronounced Zan-uh-doo). Totally cheesy film from the very early 80's, but the music is great and this duet is particularly beautiful.
Aww I love this movie so much my absolute fave ❤
I loved Gene Kelly still do. Always smiling and a great dancer glad he relented and danced here. RIP Gene and Olivia
After I watched Xanadu I next watched Anchors Aweigh where he danced with Jerry The Mouse
there will never be 2 performers like this again as they are the tip of the talent tree!!!
What is not to love about either of these huge talents?
WOW da gal can dance 😍🤩 Olivia is soooooo talented 💖💖💖
Gene Kelly FABULOUS as always and at 68 WOW... he luks FAB & dances like a dream & Olivia matches him in performance.... 😍😍😍
Such a sweet & beautiful performance 🤩🤩🤩
How lovely to connect two eras so seamlessly.
Gene Kelly was an extraordinary talent and to see the very beautiful Ms.Newton-John (an untrained dancer) keep up with the likes of Kelly shows she's more than just a pretty face with a lovely voice. RiP to the both of them.
