    skip to 7:19 all you miss is him taking it out of the box and saying its very strong and you don't need a case like other phones. They want to know what they should do with it. IDK test the reception what bands work. Tell us if you can unlock the boot loader. It generally doesn't matter how rugged it is as it is a very rugged phone with ok chip and other cool features.

  • @TheGokki
    @TheGokki 6 лет назад +23

    I think the best is if you do realistic use cases for its ruggedness:
    * have a brick fall on it (construction contractors)
    * have a car drive on it
    * sit on it at odd angles and surfaces
    * throw it the toolbox and shake it up
    * throw it off a bridge (into water)
    * highspeed impact (such as falling off a helicopter or train)
    * drop it in boiling water
    * electrocute it
    * leave it on a hot surface (not necessarily on direct fire)

    Bought the Blackview BV7000 version of this (one step down to yours), looks great, runs great and im loving it best phone I have ever had the only problem with it is some headphone jacks will not fit into the hole because of the surrounding case but switched to Bluetooth ones now anyway so its all good

      I have the bv6000 4g & bv8000 pro, both are good for the outdoor, the camera with the sun are awesome for the price.
      I checked for a new , and i listening about phone / Talkie Walkie Doogee S80, but Doogee push some malware in the ROM , so the BV9500 pro are great ?

    Got that phone and under my personal experience: After just a week of use the power button stopped working, same with the volume. I mean, they were working but not properly too sensitive and because of that the phone kept turning off, after that the phone stopped charging so I had to reset it 3 times then worked again. The sides of the phone are really crap, will slide in your hand. Was really fast, cannot deny that but totally disappointed. I did my research as I wasn't the only person having these issues, many others did and seems to be a big problem so I do strongly suggest you to NOT buy this phone, do not worth it, also the fingerprint reader is really shit, do not work properly, very slow and most of the time will not recognise your fingerprints. I sent it back and I got my refund, they insisted to send me a new one but i refused. Now I got the Ulefone Armor 3 and is waaaaayyy much better and cheaper. I am warning you guys, avoid bad times.

    Why not put it through it's paces against a well known brand phone and see how it compares in real life performance for photos, speed, reception, call quality etc. As anyone interested in this needs to know how it compares with others first.... Then break it, maybe a 3rd story drop test through scaffolding :-)

    Can You do the max depth test? It is extremely curious and would be good to know what max water depth it could actually survive! Because rugged phone standards like IP68, IP69K, MIL-STD-810G sounds impressive, but could it actually survive being submersed for example 5m depth underwater? What are the actual ruggedness limits of this phone? What max depth it could survive..?

Love that beast, not a high performance phone but pretty good still for a budget mashine. Fixed the Bv 6000s screen for R1200.00, South African rand, now my wife use it.

    hi. i just watched this vid just right now. its been late i guess. but im a rugged phone user since 2017, most rugged phones issue is that the side layers or corners can be easily peeled off. without these corners. it is jo longer rugged. most of rugged like ulefone. corners are just like being glued to the phone rather that using screws. hope you can make a vid about this. thank you

    Try some real world contractor tests. Try getting some paint or concrete splatter on it. Not to break it just to see how it holds up when you scrape the paint off.
    You could also try closing it in a truck door or leaving it out on your dashboard during a hot day for hours and see how responsive it is.
    Another thought would be take it to a local zoo and give it to the primate exhibit and let them go wild with it.

    Hey guys, I have been eagerly awaiting your video. Here is a quick update for me. I received my BV9600 Pro on Sunday the 16th. Upon opening the box and taking the plastic wrap off of the phone, the Back piece of ceramic/glass fell off of the phone...! Bear in mind, this is supposed to be an indestructible phone. Blackview customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Although I sent them photos and a video they said they didnt understand what the problem was... really... Then about 15 min ago, their reply was to put the back piece back into the phone... That would be nice if I could.
    In this video you drop it from 3 inches onto the table, i cant even do that because it has no back piece. I may put my video/pictures up in a small video later tonight for anyone else who was looking forward to this phone.

    The crap thing about a notch is that with Android 8 most apps (Tasker etc) have to display an icon in the tray...now you limited the space. Not so clever. Everyone always gets excited about a new Android version but often regression takes place...like the good old Silent / Outdoor / Normal mode on the power button.
    Please compare battery to the bv9500. I recently tested one and loved it even if a bit big it was fast and I would take it over poco purely for the battery life and decent speakers. My staff loved it.

    Despite my petpives with the BV6000 which I had for over 2.5 years for the price it probably was the best IP68 phone on the market, and my next phone will be the BV9500.
    I don't know if Blackview has improved the micro USB port, because that was my greatest annoyance with this phone. The micro USB port required BV's proprietary cable, because it was set back deep inside the rubber waterproof housing. Whenever I wanted a new or extra cable, I would have to carve away some of the plastic from a standard micro USB cable to make it fit in to the deep socket.
    Although the phone survived many 6 foot dropps in to the pavement, what eventually killed it was from being dropped from only 1 - 3 feet with the charger cable plugged in. It landed straight down on the cable plug too many times and broke the connection between the micrro USB socket and the internals so it would no longer charge.

    Just wanted to mention that Blackview fails to support their phones after they release new models. For example they released an early release of Oreo for bv8000 which is full of major bugs but they still advertise it on the sales' page. We're waiting for the fixes since summer holidays...

    Just a word of warning, I have the bv9600 pro and while I liked it for the first week within a month it will no longer connect or charge through the usb-c port and the screen cracked when I sat on it (with nothing else in my pocket).
    I attempted to contact BV through the website, facebook and skype and have been ignored on all fronts for over a week.
    All in all I love the concept but a rugged phone that breaks in two ways within a month is laughably bad and their customer service is worse.

    Our Nokia/Microsoft phones have taken a huge amount of torture which had me thinking all phones were made that way until we started buying newer phones. Every new one has failed in a "vanhelsing thrown on a couch death" style. Whereas those Lumia 650, etc survived a number of doozies. One that happened more than once is I dropped a phone onto tiles and then ran over it's screen side up with a wheel chair holding a full size adult. Sounds crazy but it's easy to do when you are moving people at the hospital. That's what I would like to see.

    The camera lens is the most outer part and will be damaged in no time. Doesn't require any effort.
