Does it really matter if AC being on in an EV??? I don't think it's gonna channel all energy that's available into the wheels 😂 For ICE cars turning AC on/off can affect the engine performance as the compressor is powered by a belt that's connected to the crankshaft. I think the AC in EV gets the power from the battery directly. Only thing it can affect is the range.
If the traction motor power rating is lower than battery power rating then AC doesn't affect the acceleration as the power is bottlenecked by the motor. AC will affect the vehicle acceleration if the battery becomes the bottleneck since a portion of available power from the battery will flow into AC instead of the traction motor. In this case, AC doesn't really matter since the motors used here are nowhere as powerful as Teslas or other electric sports car
There seems to be some misses in this video. I don't know if it was on the editing part but being a PowerDrift fan I don't expect them to make these mistakes. 1st miss was when they selected the weather condition, on selection it didn't make the usual sound it makes. 2nd was that at the end where it should have stated 0-400m timings it states 0-100kmph. Kindly make sure that these things do not occur again as these little things does make a difference.
