    This is what the Nexon could do with an ESP that can't be turned off and with an older MPI petrol Turbo compared to the Hyundai's GDI.
    Two things learned from the drag race-
    1. Nexon's DCT Petrols acceleration seems to be decent enough for its segment. (1.2 TGDI would be a killer)
    2. Venue's DCT Nline is completely useless for drag racing. Dry Clutch unlike the Wet clutch of Tata, due to which it can't be launched.

    I own a Nexon for 2+ years and I’ve had no issues with this car. And it’s better to spend time in service centre than in hospital.

      its fun and games when you actually have to deal with Tata service. Your good experience is a very tiny fraction of overall tata ownership. A HUGE percent of tata owners have to deal with Tata's crap and their ullshit service. Imho don't encourage people to buy such lemeons because of your one off good experience when majority suffer

      @@hariharansubramanian Lot of people in my circle own Tata cars, they’ve not faced any issues either. For some reasons the issues faced by Tata owners are too exaggerated because people like trolling and making fun of Tata cars.

      @@antoselvan7189 we all know nexon is not that reliable like a hyundai but its not definitely what people thinkabout it, that it remains in service centre all the time , if that would have been the case, it should not be in top position of sales, also its not about 64 kmph, its about overall build, it will always keep you safer than a venue, not everytime we are on highways. with that logic after 64 kmph both 5 star and 0 star cars should be same😃

      haha if its not about the driver how the venue won first???and how the nexon won when the driver drove venue drove it??also in the 2 nd and 3 rd attempt venue launch is delayed and you can clearly see it in the 3 rd drag (clearly visible)

      @@AMR63-hv8jl point to be noted is that n line is a performance oriented version of venue, on the other hand its a normal everryday Nexon that's carrying quite a lot more weight (heavy kerb weight) and has lower power output on paper (170nm torque).
      And did i mention tgdi of venue?

      @@paaaaritosh yeahh venue is a perfomance oriented version of venue but most of the difference is in the looks and exaust the engine has only 2 hp more than regular venue(118bhp) and toque remains the same(172 nm) also about the weight venue is 1165 kg and the nexon is 1255Kg only 90 kg difference...but nexon has 1200cc engine where venue has only 1000 cc bigger engine...bigger cylinders...bigger pistons eventho venue won on the first try and others were delayed launch clearly visible in the 3rd try

    Both are DCTs but nexon uses wet clutch where as Venue has dry clutch. Dry clutch is comparatively more prone to wear and tear, so companies usually don't allow for aggressive launch in dry clutch DCTs.

      I love the energy Hyundai is bringing to every segment in India these days, but lets be honest... Hyundai is not a serious performance brand!
      Honda has F1 wins under its belt, Toyota has won at Le Mans and we already know about Gazoo Racing. Nissan... NISMO... need I say more?
      VW owns plenty of iconic companies and they (unlike Hyundai) actually do their own research. Even Ford (specially Ford Europe) has pedigree and all of these can attribute their success to their in-house RnD. Meanwhile Hyundai is the Manchester City of car brands.

    I once visited a tata showroom to see new nexon. It looks good,rear design now feels way better,interior is a ton improved. But when i put it in first gear,boy the gear stick travel is sooooo long. I remember putting gears in my uncle's 9 yr old ( or something) grand i10 car. Its nearly 1/3rd of Nexon 's gear travel( the distance stick has to go inorder to engage the gear). Also the build is strong but lacks quality as many complains many issues. Also there are some good news coming from here and there that tata started taking service support seriously. Hope they'll improve
    With hyundai,why there's no 4 star safety rating to new creta ? After verna,i seriously expected that kind of safety with new launches😐

    It is not about the car, it is about the driver. In the end, both the cars are at same level in terms of power specs but Hyundai's DCT definitely lags as compared to the DCA in Nexon.

    Heavier Nexon uses an age old MPI engine and has an traction control that can't be switched off and still beats a performance version of a lighter Venue with a GDI engine!

      @@pandeygamer584 don't share that opinion. IIRC power drift themselves have an Altroz MT turbo v i20 turbo drag and Altroz won that as well. Besides, why putting a DCT in your performance car if it cant hold a candle against a heavy regular car with an MPI engine?

    So many hyundie fans are going nuts here. I've told them that extra capacity is crucial for low end performance especially in hills. I've driven venue turbo many times and it has pathetic turbo lag, have to press the clutch twice for it to start pulling because it suffers torque loss as it's a tiny engine. But never encounter this with the nexon.

    I have both cars there are lots of difference between them nexon looks much muscular and the nexon ride gives you a feel of luxury car and venue suspension are very poor when I drive it like 🛒 huge difference guys ❤

    It's Venue DCT launch issue, engine wise Hyundai TGDI is quite ahead of Tata turbo. Tata platform is better.

      No, having extra 200ccs doesn't matter when their power and torque is the same.. And even though the Nexon is heavier, it's 'tuned' to be quick whereas Hyundai's DCTs are tuned to be less aggressive for increased gearbox life.. Even the Skoda and VW 1.0L ATs are quicker than the Venue despite having 5 PS less power and more weight.. Tuning matters in a DCT bro!

    The hyundai dct is quite conservative in the first two gears. Manual variants of both eould result in the hyundai winning comprehensively. But as far as dct is concerned, the nexon has the edge.
