    Drew, greetings from the USA! I was just given a 2017 E300 that didn't work. I installed new 12V 7AH batteries and took care of some broken wires between the throttle and the speed controller and everything works now. I wanted to improve its performance and found your video. I am glad I did.! At first I was skeptical about your mod, but I figured I'd give it a go. I did your mod to the speed controller last night, and now I can get up a fairly steep hill and the speed is noticeably better! Prior to your mod, I could only get half way up the hill. I weigh 175 lbs. and the E300 zips me along no problem thanks to the mod. My 12 year daughter notices the difference too! She really flies on it! I recommend this mod to anyone with a stock E300! BTW I am a Mechanical Engineer if that matters to anyone reading this. Thanks again! Cheers!

      P=IV
      Power(Watts)= I(Amp draw) x V(Voltage)
      Power will be the same using either a 7 ah or 9 ah battery. Only difference is the power created will last a little longer with the 9 ah batt. So no increase in speed.

    I just found an E300 in the trash. I asked the people working in their garage if they were throwing it out. They said "yes" and that all it needs is new batteries. It is in fantastic shape. I guess their kids didn't really ride it all that much. I have been binge watching mod videos about the E300, and there certainly a lot of them. I need to buy some new batteries, make sure it really does work, and then I am doing this mod.

    This mod worked GREAT on both my E300 with OEM batteries! I weigh 160lbs. I used a 14 ga bare copper wire found in some spare home Romex wiring I had.
    My soldering gun would not get the ends hot enough to melt my soldier SO I just used a small palm size butane torch I have.
    It worked well to really apply the heat with its blue flame tip and quickly heat the copper end and the old soldier and new applied melted together. Be sure to use flux if your soldier isn't Rosen flux core.
    I did one end at a time.

    Yes so in the case of my Fiido T1, the problem is the opposite, too much power - there is no finesse in the throttle - its on/off. I want to put in a switch from the handlebars with a wire going down to the controller. In one position the original resistor value is in circuit as normal (with full power). In the B position a higher value resistor will be selected to give a lower current and hence lower throttle.

    Great videoo Drew, I have just bought one of these scooters off of gumtree, and I am wondering, does this mod decrease the range of the scooter? I'm thinking more torque, more speed = less battery life? Have you seen any noticeable difference in battery life since doing this upgrade? I ask because the stated range of the scooter is around 10 miles on a full charge, and I will probably be using at least 6 miles when I'm travelling about. While the increased torque would be a blessing, will I be sacrificing that distance? Thanks! Michael

When I have it plugged in and hit the throttle I hear a click from what feels like the speed controller. I put a voltmeter on the batteries and I'm only having about 8 volts. So I'm assuming the batteries need replaced regardless? I just figured it would at least turn the tires with no weight on it.

      @gerardr4869 2 года назад

      The speed controller cuts power at 20.5volts +/- 0.5v this is so you don’t over discharge the batteries. However, if a 12v led acid battery only charges up to 11.5, it is considered worn out and needs to be replaced.
