- In this video we're listening to Weird Al Yankovic for our Friday Favourites series. We've loved Weird Al since before we were teens. In fact, his career started just before we became teens. His hilarious parodies kept us entertained for decades. This is, of course, one of his Polka medleys, and we can't wait to hear it! Enjoy!

What makes the movie "Weird" so much better is that it is literally a parody itself of Rock and roll documentaries full of drama, drugs, and women. It's a genre parody of a parody artist. Perfection.
Weird Al took 1, number 1 song during each year since his last full album plus 2 more for a full dozen to make Polkamania. He makes sure that the songs flow together. And for the past 2 polka songs he's used online artists for their talents instead of just one single person with previous polkas. A few of the artists were in both of the polkas. Including the one for Taylor Swift.
Glad you enjoyed that. Have you seen his video 'Bob'? A tribute to Bob Dylan where every line is a palindrome. Very clever.
Weird Al staying contemporary. He lost on Jeopardy ( Baby ) Shake It Off !!
I did something like that in college,I gave a speech and presentation about “weird Al” and I met him in 2019
The Vampire segment was animated by Hazbin Hotel creator Vivziepop!
Weird Al is always great fun and this was no exception.

If you watch the Weird movie see how many of the people at the pool scene and who they are playing. I've re-watched a few times but I'm sure there are many of them I missed.

Weird Al is one of three artists that has one top 40 hit in every single decade since the 80's. That you don't like it doesn't mean it's a one-trick pony 👍 🇪🇸
