Stayed the night at the Palestine RV campground. No other campers on that evening. Hiked the rails and area around the beautiful buildings. Really peaceful and well maintained. Remarkable culture in Texas, no grafitti or vandalism. Just respect of this wonderful labor of love. Society could learn a lot from the folks around there. linked this on my blog story ..Daflikkers.

Sounds just like East Broad Top #17. I don't know what #17's whistle is.

    Why don't they operate 610?

Too big, too heavy, with a huge fuel and water requirement. It's enough for now that they've maintained it in reportedly serviceable condition!

Actually - the curves are too sharp and the rail isn't heavy enough. Her boiler really has nothing to do with it.
