The Brady Bunch said they had a terrible time making this episode. They stayed at Kings Island but unfortunately their hotel rooms were on the first floor, so they would pull the curtains open and see 50 people trying to stare into the room to see what they were doing. They said it was scary when they were trying to shoot scenes in the park all the other people there would get in the way. It took them twice as long to film this episode because of all the commotion.
I’m not very familiar with King’s Island now or in ‘74, but I’ve always been curious if the route they took actually made any sense or if they just spliced together shots from random locations At one point for instance, I’m pretty sure Alice is running through the Coney Island section (Racer in the background) even though the girls would have given her the tube near the current Planet Snoopy (Kings Mill log flume aka Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown).
I believe this episode was taped on 20-24 August of 1973 (Aired later that year). Kings Island is located 2-3 miles east of where a F4 tornado hit on April of 1974 during the "Super Outbreak."
For years I begged my architect brother-in-law to intentionally pull a Yogi bear poster out at a presentation just to see how many people would get the reference.

He was always pulling stunts like that. (Yes, he then pulled out his plot plans for the new elementary school that was to be built.)

@@kennethguthrie180 I'm not 100% sure, but that park looks like King's Island, near Cincinnati, Ohio. If true, the kids basically ran across the entire park in a star pattern. The Canoe Ride where the drawings were found was in the rear right of the park (if looking at the original park map from 1973). Next we see them running past Hanna Barbara Land, which is actually very close to the FRONT of the park (and very close to the place depicted as "The Manager's Office"). Next, the two girls have run in the opposite direction, back toward the canoes as they arrive at the log flume ride where they meet Alice, which is on the right side of the park map. Alice then runs directly across the middle of the park to the left side of the park to the Oktoberfest area where she meets Cindy and the boy coming off the Bayern Kurve ride.
