Whenever I watch the first season of The B. Bunch, I get a kick out of how the character of Carol Brady was portrayed in such a formal way by Henderson compared to other seasons. @@landreaulover could be, but we’re talking about the late 1960’s. When scenes for the show were shot in 1968, the United States was experiencing tremendous social turbulence, and the hippy movement was in full swing. “DOWN WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT!” Was the phrase of the day for the countercultural movement, so loud psychedelic patterns on clothing were becoming the norm. The Brady Bunch, even at that time, was a complete throwback to the quieter, more conservative times of the 1950’s, and the Brady costumes reflected that.

But be fair to Carol she did help Alice in the kitchen at meal times, and help Alice with the grocery shopping, only because Alice couldn't drive.😊😊😊
Taking care of 6 kids is literally a full time job. There were 6 of us kids, and our mom was always on the go. If we would have had the money, she would have definitely gotten a maid.

A sad fact regarding this TV show: The divorce rates was going through the roof in America during the 5 years this show was on. So many children were experiencing family fragmentation and broken homes that the producers of this show kept receiving letters from children asking if they could come and live with the Brady Family because their own families were so unhappy. The studio received so many such letters that eventually they had to create a form letter to send to these children in response. Fact.
