Guys thank you for all this great info. Kai would you clarify something for me on the strategy for multiple collections where similar products have lots of variants… I was with you up until you mentioned having them in the Nav AND footer. Why footer too?
A link from the footer is massively valuable, so though it may sound like overkill, you've in fact added another valuable link to point to that page. Most customers aren't looking at the footer, and you can get away with a lot of links in the footer generally.
We usually budget $1k to $2k, depending on our current strategy and the SERP competition. We build it into our agency fee, so it's one price rather than 2. I've seen companies spend as much as $100k/mo on link building before though, it's all dependent on the niche.
Hi Kai, if you have a huge product catalogue with lots of low competition, high volume keywords, do you build topical authority one ‘cluster’ at a time? I.e take a high potential sub-niche of your catalogue (let’s say “metal garden sheds”, write 8-10 blogs pointing to that main collection, then move on to the next sub-niche? Do you just do the monotonous task of writing 8-10 blogs per ‘cluster’ of keywords ? For a site with a big catalogue, that would be ALOT of blogs though no?
I'd probably create different products for various subscriber packages. Product 1 is 100 subscribers, Product 2 is 500 subscribers, etc, then package those all into 1 collection and optimize from there.

How much does a good agency usually quote for the backlink budget each month on top of the monthly agency fee?

Yes, I would go one cluster at a time. For a big catalogue, it’ll take time but that’s still the best way to do it
@@searchkaicromwell Great thank you. Any suggestions on how many blogs to create and how quickly?
@@elliotmchugh8581 4-8 per month, drip feed them in at a rate of 1-2x per week
Great talk. For a site that sells RUclips subscribers, what's the ideal way to setup collections?
I'd probably create different products for various subscriber packages. Product 1 is 100 subscribers, Product 2 is 500 subscribers, etc, then package those all into 1 collection and optimize from there.
@@searchkaicromwell Thanks for the insights. Looking forward to more good talks 👏
