    Great video again. Let's say I sell a product very similar to my competition. Would you then just make 20 collection pages with the same products, targeting different keywords, and then make a collections page description and add some internal links to every collection to boost them? Then, hide some of them in the footer because it would be weird to have all 20 in the main menu. Or would you make some of them not visible? Also, I'm ready for your course.

      In theory yes, that’s exactly what I’d do. I wouldn’t start with 20 though, start with 5-10 and work your way up from there. Rest of the workflow is correct, and course is coming soon - I promise! 🫡

    Kai how do you reduce the 301 chain and also i would love if you could create a video on how YOU do keyword research. Also can i work in your agency as a remote intern??

      To eliminate the 301 chain, make sure every broken link links directly to the last page of the 301 chain - you don't want to just keep changing the URL and redirecting it all the time - it should ideally be just one redirect.

      @@searchkaicromwell so their is one more question. If i link the first page to the last page of the chain, then what about the URLs in between? If they are also indexed on google wouldn't that hurt your site??
      And for the keyword research please also explain that funnel part in detail.

      ​@@alihamza2230 Let's say you have a 301 chain: link 1 >> link 2 >> link 3 >> link 4 >> link 5 where '>>' represents a 301.
      To shorten the chain, you should set up your 301s like this:
      link 1 >> link 5
      link 2 >> link 5
      link 3 >> link 5
      link 4 >> link 5
      This way, every single 301 is the shortest possible chain it can be and they all end in the correct location. Basically, you want to replace the 301 chain with individual 301 links

    I just st arted a niche ecom website last week. ive been trying to optimize my home page for my overall primary keyword as opposed to on my main collection page. i only have one product category. should i instead have optimized my collection page for the primary keyword and then done someting different with the home page?

      Optimize your home page for the main keyword, then build all of your backlinks to the home page. Don’t optimize collection for same keyword, it’ll compete against the home page and eventually the cannibalize one another.
      If anything, try to build out more specific sub collections that fall under your main keyword

      @searchkaicromwell for example selling fake engagement rings (dupe of real gold/diamonds) it would look bit strange calling the product a fake engagement ring (I'm a seo noob so maybe I'm making 0 sense 🤣)

      @@noorabzs see if there’s any search volume for it before you write it off. You could also try another version like cheap, low cost, dupe, etc.
