Two ways to do this: • Do nothing but dodge for a full combo or two. Don't touch him and he will revert back to walking. You can also use cloud step, allow him to attack the decoy, while you back up and make space - I do this when he attacks me at 1:37 • Hit him with a heavy attack. If you can build up 3 focus points playing normally and hit him with a heavy attack and immediately back off, I found that would often reset him to the side-strafing. Many people are also having good success swapping out ring of fire for Spellbinder and using a similar strategy of dodge, run, charge 3 point heavy attack, repeat.
How are you doing so much damage with your 3 point hit. I copied your build for all the spells but even with the pellet upgrades I am only doing half of your damage maybe. The strategy kind of works but without real damage he just eventually two shots you.

Charging always ends up ending badly for you, you will take about 2 maybe 3 mill of health to about a centimetre and the boss will either chunk half your health or chunk half your health and follow up with a barrage that leaves you dead if your not lucky enough to get a dodge in. If like me you have to deal with the massive lag that almost crashes the game then your chances are even lower to beat this boss.

I just defeated him using this strategy. You've to be quick with your charged attacks and be prepared to move a little right when he takes a stance to stab. Also keep using cloud step to heal and gain focus again whenever in a tight situation. When he's about at 40% health, use the pluck of many and first hit him with a 3 or 4 point focus attack if you've any focus already built up. Then transform into red tides and attack him with light attacks, and focus point attacks. This will not just stagger him, it'll also inflict a burn status on him. After all this, he'll either be at very low health or dead. By the way, I still had to dodge his charged attacks.
For all the people struggling with using this method , I recommend maxing out spell binder and using this same strategy keep your distance , keep using charged heavy attacks. For most of the fight he’s very passive when u fight like this.He will dash at you from time to time but he only has 2 long rage combo attacks which are easy to anticipate and dodge.
this is how i beat him. i juiced up my attack power with spellbinder, amplification pellets, tiger subduing pellets and the gore eyed daoist spirit. i stand in the daoist aura and charge my heavy to 3 points then move a bit forward and whack him on his head (the attack connects better if u dont get too close to him) repeated this 3-4 times and got his health to about 20% then after the daoist aura expired, i just beat him somehow. Without all those attack power buffs, i was barely whittling away his health by attacking him normally.
Yes omg thanks so much was struggling for like an hour before this trying to use ring of fire but your method worked after 2 tries y’all should try it out
What happens when you try this 100+ times and run out of pills? Now I have to farm plants for days just to fight this asshat again. A lot of his moves are definitely not easy to dodge and if you miss once that's it your dead. Hardest boss of any souls like game ever made hands down. No other boss in this game took me more than 3 tries I didn't die this much in LoP or Sekiro.
Thanks bro I was on my 10 try and then I saw your video and it took me 2 times to defeat him even tho I still didn’t have enough mana at the end I was able to defeat him 🤝💙
If you are still having issue with this boss, swap out Ring of fire to immobilisation and use the Red tides transformation. Get the boss to half with the heavy attacks from distance, (you will still need to learn to dodge his attacks) preferably in a corner/against a wall, then immobilise him, then pluck of many and Red tides and you will carve him up in seconds with the fire and pluck of many. Put points in immobilise instead of ring of fire If he is still not dead when you transform back, use cloud step and wandering wight to stun and finish him off.
Exactly what I did. I also used the pill to reset cooldown and did pluck of many again when he had like 20% hp left, then immobilisation, then gave him all I had. Also before i rearranged my celestial meds to have health and mana maxed.
Let me tell you, bro, the weirdest thing happened. I went through all the steps that you told us to follow, and they worked great. But to add the cherry on top, something happened - he never switched to his second phase for the entire fight so it was extremely easy. I died previously like six times, but this time when I followed all your steps, he just decided to stay in phase 1. I’ll take it. 😂
My experience on Level 88 (October 2, 2024): The ring of fire spell didn’t work for me at all, so I can confirm the complaints from others about this. BUT: with this build and technique, I finally managed to defeat the boss on my second try. To be fair, by that point, I had practiced dodging the basic magic attacks, because BEFORE I saw this video tutorial I died in a thousand times. So even though not everything worked the same for me as in the video, this is a super useful video, and I’m very grateful for it! The main point (my advice to other players): 1. Set up the build according to the video. 2. Learn how to dodge the boss’s basic attacks (after a few deaths, you’ll find it very simple; the boss always performs the same moves). 3. When the boss rises into the air and starts the series of special attacks, shift into cloud form. 4. If your cloud steps are maxed out, the boss won’t attack you but will target your cloud duplicate instead. Meanwhile, you can heal yourself and recharge for a strong attack. 5. When the boss’s health bar is low, you can make the finish easier/faster with other spells (pluck of many, transformation). But it's totally optional. Believe me, I’m not a pro gamer, and with this technique (the video tutorial above and this little extra info), and a bit of patience, the boss can be taken down easily. It won’t be hard at all.
For those struggling with the strategy from this video since the boss seems to be more active in current versions. You can still make it work! - Ring of fire only sometimes allows you to charge up to 4 points. Charge up while he walks normally and as soon as he his body tensions indicating that he will attack release the heavy button. If you have 2 or more focus points, you will receive damage but you'll deal damage to him too and stagger him, breaking his combo. If you have only one focus point or less you'll get hit full on. Luck factor for me. - Wind tamer is an absolute must to get him out of his air attacks. However you have to trigger the wind tamer as soon as his hand touches the ground and he starts to glow white, any later and the wind tamer might not work at all or you get hit before the wind tamer activates. - While ring of fire is recharging use charged 3 focus points attacks. Here too, if he attacks before you reach 2 focus points you're out of luck. - My success pattern was: 1) 3 focus point charged attack at the start as in the video. Remember a position on the ground on where to start the attack, takes a few tries to get that right 2) after that ring of fire, hopefully one or two 4 focus points attacks 3) 3 focus point charged attacks until ring of fire is back 4) another ring of fire, again as many attacks from the ring of fire as possible 5) If he starts his air assault and you can use a focus point, use the focus point attack to stagger him out of the air attack, otherwise use wind-tamer. You have to be quick and very early! If that doesn't work, try to dodge the first 2 attacks from the air and then use cloud step to survive the rest. 6) When he is at ~1/3 health and preferably close to a corner deliver the final blow: - trigger pluck of many so the clones distract him - use one charged heavy attack (or the wandering wright spirit if you're close) to stagger him and preferably throw him into the corner or towards the edge of the arena. - transform into the wolf and keep spamming light attack (no heavies!) to keep him staggered and burning until he is done Some fights he would start his air assaults 2 or even 3 times, then I had no chance. In the later phase the air attacks get even more aggressive, I didn't figure out how to survive them. In my winning fight he tried air assault two times, once I could heavy attack him out of it and the other time I used the wind tamer.
Spell under I found works better. He allows you to do a triple charge attack and full charge up after his initial charge. Than after your triple charge, he will charge you, at which point run to the other side of the arena and charge up cause he lets you do it again. This pattern repeats until kill range where he goes lightning and flies. Dodge all attacks and use the medicine that gives you 4 focus. That'll usually kill him in 1 shot from kill range. It's about 4-5 attacks.
I deal ~1000 dmg with a triple charge, it’s taking forever and I can only get him down to 30% hp. I am level 65, should I level up more? Any other idea how to deal with him at my current level?
@@zeal514 Finally got him down, doing this: Let him attack first, then triple charge with Thrust stance, then charging again until he starts attacking, if you charged 2 points or more, the thrust will interrupt him and you charge again, if less than 2, you let go and dodge his attack. Also you must keep appropriate distance between each thrust, not too close and not too far. He walks slowly towards you and you use this time to charge. After you get him to ~30% hp, use immobilise then pluck of many then transform into Red Tides. This transformation will make him stagger and your clones will do lots of damage. As for dodging his flying attacks, after so many tries I learned how to dodge them perfectly. Cloud step can also be used but it will not last long enough for his combo to finish, just use it in case you took serious damage to heal.
Thanks to this guide I beat him after the 50th try 😂 didn’t exactly do what he did in the video but I did used the ring of fire with the heavy attacks but he kept lunging at me so it kinda didn’t work so I was just dodging and heavy attacking him but it definitely did help using ring of fire !
Good lord! I had to have tried at least 50x against this guy tonight. Just tried this technique and got him first try. Ran out of mana before I could cast my pluck of many but still got him!! Thank you!
Duuuuuude! You are the friggin GOAT. I played this dude more times than I’d care to admit but I beat him on the first try after watching your video. Solid af!
I beat him last night with just cloudstep & immobilise & many many dodges no potions(did take like an hr and half eventually), your guide popped in my yt this morning wish I saw it first 😢. P.s. nvm just saw other comments saying it’s patched so no longer works, glad I did it myself then. 😂
Thank you for the guide, I was able to beat him using your build and tactics. Though the boss does tend to initiate a move as soon as I create a Ring of Fire and then occupies the ring
I didn’t use this strat, although the bosses move set explanations were extremely helpful. I buffed, used the monkeys, and dropped Gore-eye at the beginning of the fight. This allowed me to get him down to 20%. Then I transformed and finished him with a few fancy dodges and heavy’s. I found it more difficult to sit in a ring of fire and wait him out than to dodge and rush him.
Thank you for the video! It took a few tries to get the timing down. My fight was odd. I did exactly what you did and Yellow Loong was so docile until the last 25%. I just used "Pluck of Many" and the "Red Haired Yaksha" to finished him off.
BRO.....deadass been fighting this mfer for 6hrs. watched prolly half a dozen videos on how to beat him. not shittin you after ONE try of your strat beat him with almost a full gourd left. you sir are the man
That's awesome, I'm so glad it worked for you! Sometimes it's hard to tell whether what I'm doing is actually easy or whether I'm used to the fight after several hours practising and testing stuff
@WilstormGaming nah this was legit a game changer. And judging by the comments I'm not the only one that thinks so. It's probably a very "yellow loong specific" build setup though cuz I don't know many other bosses that just stand there and let you charge up 4 focus in a ring of fire right in front of them lmao but for much trouble the community is having with yellow loong I'd say this build is going to get a fuck ton of play. Well done bro 🤝
Man you guys really make a study of these bosses. The way you were able to breakdown all his different moves and paces in the wrap up segment is truly remarkable. Cheers. I should be facing him shortly so trying to soak in all the "How to beat....." vids I can.
The strat of charging heavy attacks and waiting him out worked well for me with the spell of Ring of fire was super helpful. I didnt even need Pluck of many and I still had enough health in the gourd. Thanks bro!
Bro can u please explain to me when i use ring of fire why i dont get a 4 charging dot and i do have the In one breath thing but it doesnt charge a 4th dot
Thank you very much! The trick of using Smash Stance and keeping my distance from him really worked. After struggling with him for 8 hours, this made my day! I was so frustrated before
Omg! Thank you! The ring of fire didnt work for me that much but it helped! What I did is just maintained always a distance then jus kept on charging my smash lol then bonk and bonk
I know I can get him eventually by banging my head against the wall until I git gud but after Cyan Loong frustrated me so much last chap, I'm a bit less patient. REALLY helps seeing his attack patterns and how to react to them, even if I don't resort to cheese, thank you!
Thanks for that. The issue with these videos is that while they mention when to dodge, they don't specify the direction, which is crucial. I've noticed in this video that the dodging is forward, backward, or sideways, but this isn't always indicated in the guide.
I beat him in two minutes. I also haven't even touched the pellets at all the entire game. People sleep on the spirit that puts the flag down. It gives you extra mana and ups the damage of you and the clones!! I had the soaks & gourd that let you extends the duration of the clones and one that increases the damage of the next cloud step after a sip. Walk up drop the flag closes to the line you showed, take a sip, call the clones... Cloud step. Hit him in the back towards the flag. Freeze him... Maxed out clones froze him once... Took 3/4 of his health in less than a minute... Transformed because he gets more aggressive when low.... I used the tiger but by the time i finished the transformation he was a combo and one hit away 🙃
dodge through him after follow-up from rock solid deflection. i actually found thrust stance to be really good in this fight, you can get a lot of attacks off and even if you dont see through dodge you still create distance on your tactical retreats that usually prevents him from hitting you
It took me a while to beat him but I did it. Funny enough he was doing most of what I was doing so I said screw it I got this. Appreciate your videos though because thanks to you I was able to beat the pig boss.
broooo best walkthrough videos by far. thanks mate for the breakdown super thorough and clear. keep up the badass work!!! "we're not here to be proud, we're here to kill a boss" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 we're not here to fck spiders boys 😂😂😂
This boss gets really easier when I visit him just after chapter 5. Use the Yaksha’s armor, especially the mask. To begin with, use Pluck of many (should be maxed out) then immobilise him after the monkeys start attacking him. Next turn to red tides once the monkeys are gone. By now he will be less than 50-40% of his total hp. After that use the needle and start attacking/dodging him. Once he tries to unleash his thunder move, cancel it out with wandering wright. Best to immobilise him whenever we can from him and use cloud steps.

Lmfao.. for you he just stands there & waits. No matter how far back I am with my ring of fire he pushes me as soon as I attack once. Shit is annoying asf already…
This strategy no longer works. At all. When he’s in phase 2, he ignores charged heavies and just goes invisible and flies straight up and goes into an electrical combo. He ignores cloud step and immobilize when in phase 2 as well. Jesus Christ I can’t find a recent strategy that actually works.

When i did this it was super easy, i did it within 3 try. Thabj you so so much, keep up the content😊
- My success pattern was:
1) 3 focus point charged attack at the start as in the video. Remember a position on the ground on where to start the attack, takes a few tries to get that right
2) after that ring of fire, hopefully one or two 4 focus points attacks
3) 3 focus point charged attacks until ring of fire is back
4) another ring of fire, again as many attacks from the ring of fire as possible
5) If he starts his air assault and you can use a focus point, use the focus point attack to stagger him out of the air attack, otherwise use wind-tamer. You have to be quick and very early! If that doesn't work, try to dodge the first 2 attacks from the air and then use cloud step to survive the rest.
6) When he is at ~1/3 health and preferably close to a corner deliver the final blow:
- trigger pluck of many so the clones distract him
- use one charged heavy attack (or the wandering wright spirit if you're close) to stagger him and preferably throw him into the corner or towards the edge of the arena.
- transform into the wolf and keep spamming light attack (no heavies!) to keep him staggered and burning until he is done
Some fights he would start his air assaults 2 or even 3 times, then I had no chance.
Dude, your way was awesome. Great call!
Def should be a vid this was waaay better and easier
I deal ~1000 dmg with a triple charge, it’s taking forever and I can only get him down to 30% hp. I am level 65, should I level up more? Any other idea how to deal with him at my current level?
@@radikk7874 gotta use spellbinder for big bonks. I also use smash stance with the attack pattern I listed.
Thanks for the video, took me about 4 tries with your method. About 10 prior to watching the video!
Good lord! I had to have tried at least 50x against this guy tonight. Just tried this technique and got him first try. Ran out of mana before I could cast my pluck of many but still got him!! Thank you!
Nice work! Glad it helped!
BEST METHOD! 2-tried Yellow Loong using this method. Thank you very much!
I followed your guide to beat this boss. Thanks a ton.
Done. Took me 30+ tries. Thank you for this video!
Thank you for the guide, I was able to beat him using your build and tactics. Though the boss does tend to initiate a move as soon as I create a Ring of Fire and then occupies the ring
Thanks master. Excellent work, like always. He was a tough f…..
This was the most detailed walkthrough I've ever seen
Thank you so much I’ve been on that boss for hours that build
Worked first go cheers mate
Thank you! Not sure if you mispoke but you said 1 soak, the other is important for ring of fire duration. Big help, youre the man.
Yeah I must have forgotten to mention it. The ring of fire duration soak was intentional noting my use of ROF
you are the best, I could not beat him. And with the help of your video I finally did, you got a new follow for that
finaally beat this guy after hours upon hours. thx so much for your guide. it helped soo much
Amazing details. Thank you for taking your time and keeping it simple.
You deserve my 👍. Struggled many hours and your tactics helped 🎉
Very glad it helped! Nice work
I'm not proud but your tutorial was the best for anyone who was tired of dying lol
Man you guys really make a study of these bosses. The way you were able to breakdown all his different moves and paces in the wrap up segment is truly remarkable. Cheers.
I should be facing him shortly so trying to soak in all the "How to beat....." vids I can.
Bro thank you for this tip. Literally saved me so much time.
Nice one mate, your lightning phase timing breakdown was brilliant. I should have waited for this video instead of bullheadedly progging on this guy.
Thanks, glad I could help. Those lightning dashes certainyl became much easier once i realised.
Worked like a charm, only took 3 tries. Thank you 👍
So i used your tactic and it was very usefull . Thank you very much
Very good breakdowns and strategies mate.
Dude you are a legend! Many thanks🙏🏼
I know I can get him eventually by banging my head against the wall until I git gud but after Cyan Loong frustrated me so much last chap, I'm a bit less patient. REALLY helps seeing his attack patterns and how to react to them, even if I don't resort to cheese, thank you!
You sir are my hero 🙌 two attempts with your setup no potions destroyed him atlast 😅
Nicely done! Glad it worked for you!
Thanks for the assist. I took your strat and used it my way. I then beat him next try with out issue. That Ring of Fire is my fave ability now LUL
Thank you so much brother !! Great video great explanation!
Thank you! Glad you liked it
This was extremely helpful! just be patient and remember you’ll trade combos so don’t get greedy and try to charge attack him twice.
Dude ! Thanks I used similarities to this and I finally beat him after 2 days !!!!!
Nicely done! Very glad it helped!
Thanks. i got lucky to one try clear using ur strategy. That's my first time using ring of fire in battle. Good one
Your video helped! Finally beat him, only took 3 days...phk!
Thank you so much
It took me ages till I found this method
cheers mate
Thanks for that.
The issue with these videos is that while they mention when to dodge, they don't specify the direction, which is crucial. I've noticed in this video that the dodging is forward, backward, or sideways, but this isn't always indicated in the guide.
You earned my subs fasho… worked easy!
My guy, I Thank You from depth of my heart!!😊
I used the tiger but by the time i finished the transformation he was a combo and one hit away 🙃
dodge through him after follow-up from rock solid deflection. i actually found thrust stance to be really good in this fight, you can get a lot of attacks off and even if you dont see through dodge you still create distance on your tactical retreats that usually prevents him from hitting you
Talk about dissection good job dude
Really well broken down mate, appreciate it.
Subscribed now
Took 2 tries; it worked. Brilliant, thank you!
It took me a while to beat him but I did it. Funny enough he was doing most of what I was doing so I said screw it I got this. Appreciate your videos though because thanks to you I was able to beat the pig boss.
I finally beat this boss!!! No cheese. Didn’t even use pluck of many or my transformation. Such an epic fight!
best strategy. Worked on the first try. thank you.
This doesnt work for me, i cant even get him down a quarter with this method
First attempt after watching this, cheers mate!
broooo best walkthrough videos by far. thanks mate for the breakdown super thorough and clear. keep up the badass work!!!
W MANS YOUR STRAT GOT ME TO BEAT HIM BRO, IVE BEEN STRUGGLING FOR 2 WHOLE DAYS
Nice! Very glad it helped that's awesome you got him, tough boss.
@@WilstormGaming every single boss feels easy now after beating him took me sooooo long to beat him bro, amazing video you definitely deserve more credit.
I'm just happy it helped, sometimes it's hard to gauge whether what I'm doing is actually going to be easy for people to replicate or whether it's only easy for me because I've been fighting the boss for hours testing different things etc.
So when it actually helps people get kills they've been stuck on, I'm happy! haha
Same! I finally got him tonight, I used the needle to distract him and just go ham on him for a bit, and just use immobilize, cloud step and thrust stance to get some space between us.
This video really helped! Thanks
Beat him after 3 tries! Thanks for your help!!!!!
Took me days to beat this boss! A real challenge
I needed a video like this a few days ago for Scorpion Lord. Took me like 30 tries to beat that idiot. He was the hardest boss for me so far for some reason. Smdh
scorpion lord had me tying a noose lmao but i ended up beating him after overdosing with 10 tiger subduing pills and 5 loong pills+ shadow clones
Beat him with spell binder gave him the hands nun of this was working all though i do appreciate it because watching this made me start looking for other ways to finally beat him and it turns out it was pure Fistacuffs aka pole bashing lmaoo
Great breakdown. Thank you.
I beat him without any spells. Just focus attacks. It was kinda underwhelming.
But This is an awesome method. Especially that 4 focus hit!
first' ever saw anyone who goes an teaches so well ❤ love an respect frm india awesome
This still works and this is the easiest way. Tnx
Never attempt to light attack him. He will retaliate. Just keep distance and thrust him. Better to max spell binder and wear thrust stance gears. At 60%-30% -10% hp. He will do some super saiyan move. Dodge them and he will stay still again.
Appreciate you gang 🤘🏿
Lmfao.. for you he just stands there & waits. No matter how far back I am with my ring of fire he pushes me as soon as I attack once. Shit is annoying asf already…
This worked for me. Took me a few tries tho. Thank you!!!
This helped me so much thank you
This strategy no longer works. At all. When he’s in phase 2, he ignores charged heavies and just goes invisible and flies straight up and goes into an electrical combo. He ignores cloud step and immobilize when in phase 2 as well. Jesus Christ I can’t find a recent strategy that actually works.
I used it today and it worked.
Just use cloud step in phase 2 but use it after dodging 3 dash attacks so that you can escape from there heavy attacks
Finally got him down, doing this: Let him attack first, then triple charge with Thrust stance, then charging again until he starts attacking, if you charged 2 points or more, the thrust will interrupt him and you charge again, if less than 2, you let go and dodge his attack.
Literally tried to get his ass for days and finally got him with most of my health :D Thanks for this method!
Thrust stance is op against a lot of characters, including this one! I hated the stance at first but just gotta get used to it. I finally did on the end of my 3rd party through lol.
Your method worked for me. I thought my game was over
Beatvhim in my 3rd try but accidentally used immobilise instead of ring of fire so i had to attack him head on but the tip about him in the air really helped
Nice glad it helped, those were much easier once I realised what was going on!
I love all these how to videos that only work for them.
Mate legend of a video game
