Yes, it would have been more relevant to put those things in instead of doing a senseless mini biography on a Rapper named "Chance", simply because 1993 was the year he was born.
Barney came out the previous year in 1992, Power Rangers was technically 92 as well if you count its original Super Sentai Japanese counterpart Zyuranger. It didn't air in the States as Power Rangers until 1993.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the arrival of the internet and the slow demise of rock music and the uprise of cancel culture go hand in hand. You seriously missed the blizzard of '93?!?!? I was over in the NW Cape of Western Australia and the weather on the US east coast made the headlines there!!! Heck, NC and TN residents are still talking about it to this day!
Same, but I remember coming out of school there wasn't much for decent employment, unions were dead or dying, debt trap industries (like the student loan industry) were exploding onto the scene, and things wouldn't get much better for the average person until about '96, and that would only last for a handful of years before it nosedived again. To this day we never did get back to the easy-access prosperity levels our parents enjoyed.

One of the greatest live recording of all time!
I remember this, I had just turned 8 a week before.. my uncles were into rock and alternative music so that’s all I heard. I my cousins were a little older so MTV was always on… I came of age in the 90s. I feel we’re the most nostalgic of any other decade.
Here are the top 10 songs of 1993, according to the Billboard year-end singles chart:
10. Informer- Snow
9. Rump Shaker- Wreckx-n-Effect
8. Dreamlover- Mariah Carey
7. If I Ever Fall in Love- Shai
6. Weak- SWV
5. Freak Me- Silk
4. That's the Way Love Goes- Janet Jackson
3. Can't Help Falling in Love- UB40
2. Whoomp! (There It Is)- Tag Team
1. I Will Always Love You- Whitney Houston
Thank You Sir
Funny how just by reading the names I remember the songs
Wow Snow made it on.
Terrible. since some of these are from 1992.
10. Holler If Ya Hear Me - 2Pac
9. Eternal - Stay
8. Dreamlover- Mariah Carey
7. That's The Way Love Is - Bobby Brown
6. Right Here/Human Nature Remix - SWV

2. Whatzupwitu - Michael Jackson
1. Heart Shape Box - Nirvana
Finally, it's been a while.
I'm shocked there was no mention of Barney and Power Rangers debut. Pretty big pop culture moments. Just goes to show how jammed back with pop culture 1993 has.
I used to think 1993 was such a dull year, but watching this convinced me that it actually holds a lot of moments in history.
Just make the video longer. No reason to leave anything that big, out.
@ᴡɪɴᴛᴇʀᴍᴜᴛᴇ _ Thanks 😂
Also the death of actor River phoenix who died of a drug overdoes on Halloween night
I love this one in particular because it's very cool learning random things about the year I was born!
I turned 15 in November of 1993. The early 90’s, growing up here in Fontana California, would shape and mold me in to the person I would become, and still for the most part, am to this day. FonTana High School Class of ‘1996...if you know, you know 😉 These videos bring back so many memories. Thank you for producing and presenting them.
1978
@@duncan3998 🙌🏿
RIP Vincent price he was a brilliant horror movie actor.
He's an icon
@@chayden153 that's right.
His voice is also iconic. Most notable, the ending words to Micheal Jackson's "Thriller" in '82
@@anthonychihuahua that is true.
Yes he was
I love this series! I was born at the end of the 90’s so this is awesome to watch, can’t wait for ‘99 😎
If you were born in late 90s then youre a 2000 kid that barely knows the 90s. So its good you can catch up
I was born in 1993 and dont consider myself a 90s kid since i dont remember anything from that era. 1999 are def a mix of 2000s and early 2010s
1996 is gonna be LIT! Gotta catch 'em, all!
Oh ya! When Tupac came out with the All Eyez ON Me CD in early 96 after being in prison for most of 95 😎
96 was my favorite year of the 90’s
Stone Temple Pilots - Big Bang Baby
I wad 6 in 97 when Pokemon came out
@@lessismore8533 And you were born when Beauty and the Beast came out then?
Its about time been watching for days waiting for 1993 ❤
I enjoyed the 90s music that started during the RBG clips! That's what I call a snappy, 90s background jamming tune!
These days Matthew McConaughey’s character would be all over the news for dating high school girls. 😂😂😂
"That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age"
alright, alright, alright.
Watch the leather man.
Or he'd be elected to Congress from Florida.
Not his fault they all stay the same age
What I miss are, what seem to me , are the longer days and nights. Saw a comment the other day saying the skies were just bluer back in the 90s.
Well the evenings and late nights back then, no matter where you were, were something else too. Staying up alone or with family or a few friends were always journeys.
I was 11 in 1993, I do remember some of this though. Great video as usual!
I love these TIMELINE videos.
These are so professionally done I love them very much I would love to see ones made from 1970 all the way up to current that would be cool keep up the great work thanks for these
I remember this being the last year I had never heard of an Internet.
I remember it as the very last time I flew on an airplane! And that's back when they were actually spacious and comfortable!
I remember someone telling me that we would be able to "burn" CDs. I told him he was crazy. Look at where we are now. MP3 players still blow my mind!
@@erichanhauser3190 I can do you one better. I remember my father coming home one night telling me he had read in the science section of the New York Times that a machine had been invented where you would be able to record television programs right from your set! LOL! A year or so later, enter the Betamax.
I still have never owned an MP3 player. I STILL burn CD's! LOL
I heard of it that year, my dad and his friend were both nerds (the friend passed away). I didn't think much of it when I heard him explaining it and when it was first brought to the public, I sorta thought it was just a fad... kinda wish it was but alas...
I don't think it's a coincidence that the arrival of the internet and the slow demise of rock music and the uprise of cancel culture go hand in hand. I'll give it to Bill Burr for recently saying that in the 80s, things weren't good, but at least we all acted like everything was great. I miss the 80s... even the 90s were better than now.
Hearing chance the rapper was born meant nothing to me but it did feel like a kanye "look at me " moment.
93 was the year I met my husband.. we were 14 and I was his first girlfriend ❤️ his eyes were crystal blue and he was the cutest ever. We were so shy. We got married in 2019 at age 40. He is my soulmate I never stopped loving this man. 1993 great year
Thanks for making me cry
Glad you reconnected that's romantic story
Wow, what a beautiful story, we're the same age. That really gives me some hope.
@@jaredtomochak4946 anytime
Unbreakable relationship. Well done, aunty Monica ❤️
Thanks to everyone for sharing your memories. I was born in march 1993, I was wondering what happened in the year I was born that's how I stumbled on this video after searching world view in 1993.. I thank God I wasn't born before then. Now it's like civilization has reached its peak in this generation. I wonder how the civilization of my old age will be and for my kids.
Damn, I never realized how 1993 was one very important year.
It was. People overlooking it.
I love Weird History documentaries.
Yes I love these timeline videos.
I love this channel and this series..can’t wait for 1994…
Next up: 1994, the year I was born 🙌🏾📟 thank you for another amazing Timeline Episode!
Terrible year if ya ask me
I entered High School in 1993, it was definitely weird times. I did watch a lot of Jurassic Park that year, bought the soundtrack which was one of the first cd's I owned. Played a lot of Secret of Mana. That's what comes to mind without really thinking too much on it.
Biosphere, three years later, Bio-dome starring Pauly Shore is released...🎭💯
That is SO weird
Quite the coincidence...🙋🍻🌍🌱
One of the greatest comedy duos in that movie...but enough about Kage and Jables.
Bio dome was based on the Biosphere experiment. 😉
@@paulaOyeah well yeah, but I was 9 at the time and what kid pays attention to the news?
My mom worked in WTC during the bombing she was there that day and her company never moved back in the building after. Thank god.
I told my girlfriend that day that I had a bad feeling that the WTC would be attacked again. Unfortunately, I was right.
Love your content. Thanks for all the hard work!
I love these! And I’m huge fan of all videos that this narrator makes!
1993, I went to party with my dad and left with my mom! Was a great year
🥴🥴😂😂😂😂😂
You seriously missed the blizzard of '93?!?!? I was over in the NW Cape of Western Australia and the weather on the US east coast made the headlines there!!! Heck, NC and TN residents are still talking about it to this day!
Sounds like how we're going to talk about the blizzard of '21 here in Texas, though that was mostly due to government mismanagement...
I was living in a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama up on one of the small mountains and we had two to three feet of snow.
And where is the 1993 constitutional crisis of Russia?
Literally the day democracy died in Russia
I graduated high school in 1993! Good memories!
Wow, how fortunate for YOU that YOU share a significant moment in YOUR life in the SAME HISTORICAL YEAR of the BIRTH of CHANCE THE RAPPER. I'm SURE YOU feel REALLY privileged...😏👍
Alexa play “93’ til infinity - Souls of Mischief”
Ah. Good one.
Thank you for the video.
I just got dumped 10 min ago. Exactly what I need right now is this series.
Edit: You guys are so nice thank you so much
Thats a bummer man.
Rip the homie, another fallen soldier
Youll get over it
You'll be fine, dude. We all went through this. Best wishes from Poland! 😉😎
Don't ever delete this comment. You'll appreciate it later.
1993 was one of my favorite years. I turned 13 years old and really got into comic books with the Batman:Knightfall & X-Men:Fatal Attactions storylines being highlights for me. (Yes, I'm a geek. lol) Remember watching the Dallas Cowboys win the Super Bowl that year (and the unforgettable half-time show with Michael Jackson.) Have fond memories of 1993. Even teared up on New Years Eve when it ended. lol
Wait until you get some significant age on you. You'll appreciate the healthy years all that much more.
Aaaaaahhhh, that was a breath of fresh air!!
I was in grade 7 in 1993. Wearing Jordan Shoes was a big deal, all the boys were singing Snow's "Informer" and everyone went and saw "Jurassic Park". It was a great year for me.
Just found your channel. Awesome!
Well, 1993 was when I arrived in Albuquerque and start a new life as the mailman for HHM.
Chance The Rapper’s birthday was mentioned why? Completely odd considering no one else’s birth dates have been mentioned in previous videos. Nonsense!
If he wouldn't have been born i don't think any of us would have. I was born in 94 and my parents made love to his music
Yeah I could have gave a damn about that one.
Yeah that was out of place. He means nothing to me and I grew up in the 90s
This channel must be a big fan of his or something. When they mentioned him being born, my automatic reaction was, so who the fuck cares.
Might’ve been because he was born in the year 1993 but I could be wrong 🤷🏽♂️
The line in the Mighty Ducks about the team being sponsored by Donald and Daisy is true ironic foreshadowing.
Velvet Divorce sounds like the name of a romance novel about a couple who inspite of being divorced have to remain business partners for the sake of their very successful company.
Born in the 80's raised in the 90's! The best decade because of the biggest changes in history happened in the 90's!! ❤️
