As a poker player. The best thing I learned coming into sports betting is bankroll management. There is variance and bankroll management protects u from the emotional Rollercoaster

As a relatively successful bettor and someone that every now and then wades through subs like r/sportsbetting, it's pretty crazy how poor some of the bankroll management is over there. Last time I had a look through there people were getting hyped over a couple of users that were doing "$50 to $5k" challenges or something like that. Their method? Find a market they liked around the 1.10 / -1000 odds area, and BET THEIR WHOLE BANKROLL ON IT (the bankroll for that challenge, anyway). Sure, apparently they took out the initial $50 after they reached a certain point, but even so, you'd have to get so many ~85% probability markets right in a row to actually hit your target with such a system, and it's not going to change the EV of your bets; it's just going to change how quickly that EV gets realised.

I noticed when I reduced my unit size in half.. I stopped sweating bets or clinging as I watched games on TV. I just bet a little and let it go...

Blaming players for not winning a bet for you shows the level of immaturity and idiocy with some sports bettors. Go back to playing slots and blame a machine for your losses.
