So on my 1st trip to Frank and sons i was new to collecting and i only collected star wars black series at the time just in time for 1st/2nd wave. I came across a booth that was selling these "hot" figs and the clerk was going to give me a deal on them but i never watched Dbz that deep enough to know who the androids were. Plus it seemed crazy high compared to the $20 for black series. Long story short i fucked up because i did end up finished dbz and i started collecting s.h. figuarts once i gave in to paying extra for imports. I'm happy they released these versions
Excellent review man. Just got my Android 18 in the mail and she’s perfect. Always wanted this figure but it was always too much. I didn’t start collecting the line until 2015 so I missed out on both Androids. I liked 18 a little more as a character because she beat the only hell out of Vegeta and trunks at the same time lol. I think I’m going to have to get 17 on eBay and pay the scalpers price. I missed out on the chance to preorder him on the premium Bandai site so I’ll just buy Jeice instead.
Oh I forgot to mention I like the the new 17 more than the original because his face has more detailed paint. And I kind of like the dirty shoes and long sleeves look as well. But I agree with you on his pants, they are way too bright.

Tamashii making re issues does not mean it’s confirmed the figures are “coming” . it’s a good guess we will have both androids with new molds but not the Z version anymore . They already gave us 2 chances to get them . 1. The OGs . 2. EE 2020. And again if you are sure they are coming I would like a source , I’m not crapping on you , but false statements like this is what make people have hope and then shit on the companies . If that was the case , we would’ve gotten a Broly Z version 2.0, SSJ vegitto 2.0 , teen gohan 2.0 , Cell 2.0 ... should I keep going ?

the new androids' coloring makes these figures look a lot updated with tons of shading and newly added paint applications
