As someone who remembers the west coast cruising scene from the 90s as a child this really hits so many marks for me! I grew up seeing EF Civic Sedans, Nissan Hardbodies and Suzuki Samurais on Daton rims! Cruising abruptly ended in Cali around the mid to late 90s so seeing Japanese cars done up like this has faded away, but it's cool to see remnants of it!

Love this generation of the Soarer. That steering wheel looks like a death trap.
The white walls on the wire wheels threw me back to my childhood seeing Tercels, Corollas and Preludes bouncing around the streets on tiny wires and white wall tires in the 90s.
You can tell how much love he has for his car. Props to him for doing what he liked with it instead of following the crowd.
Been following his Soarer for a while, every stage of this car has been super unique. Love the way he blended the Kaido Racer and 90s Euro Lowrider styles, never seen that done before. So many neat little touches all around the car.

LOVE the exterior, Never seen a tail panel like that and I think it really adds to the vibe of the car. (I now want something like this with the "cherry" style light) The interior is not to my taste, all the input surfaces look uncomfortable to handle. That being said I think this style is very true to Japanese style; modifying a car that he loves in a way that he thinks is cool and using local cultural influences (Daytons etc). Overall a lot of love went into this build and it shows! Awesome!!

I live in the greater Seattle area. I’m doing the same style to my Subaru. I had a 79 coupe deville lowrider until my wife wrecked it. My Subie is my daily. We love our Subarus in the Pacific Northwest but I am looking to build another low rider. I’m a west coast lowrider at heart but I also love rally.

The power steering pump can be rebuilt. The seals and bearings are standard. I got my 1g pump rebuilt and 5 years on its still ok.
Digging that exterior look and the wheel/tire fit. Is it a looped PS rack or swapped a manny rack since PS pump broke?

i know this chassis is almost the same as a ma70 but shit the bay is identical the front seats are basically the same even the left foot rest block is the same so cool.
The engine looks a lot like the 1G-GTE.😊
Everything is pretty cool but id say th twisted bar stock is kinda overkill on the inside

Just a lil fyi but even in Japan, these cars sometimes still get called “bosozoku” because they typically get grouped with the biker gangs and that culture. As it was explained to me by my buddy in the Kansai area “the whole group is just bosozoku, cars and bikes alike”
I suppose Kaido racer is the politically correct way to call it but no one seems to be too big on those terms in my experience. Then again, Kansai region isn’t very popular for Kaido Racers so who knows lol

This guy clearly doesn't know anything about Dayton wheels lol.... Dayton makes arguably the best spokes in the industry, and have so for over 100yrs.... and you can most certainly get Daytons in literally any size you want, they're a completely custom wheel manufacturer, anything from 13" to 24" , however how wide or skinny you want, with whatever backspacing you need, with whatever spoke layout you want (radial, cross, triples, ECT) 😅
They actually aren’t even daytons the center cap is wrong on those if they have a eagle they are xenith wire wheels made in California, Dayton wheels are made in Dayton ohio
