    A very scenic days hiking, especially catching the yellow gorse and the bluebells as well, in what looked like perfect hiking weather. I bet that burger and chips hit the spot and no doubt a pint or two as well! My mate did the Cumbria Way with his wife about 12 years ago and he said it rained every single day lol! Cheers and good luck, Alan

      Hi Alan, thanks for watching mate, you are just in time, day three is on the way later today!
      It was a brilliant day, a brilliant week, we could not have asked for better walking conditions. We only had the one pint with the burger, just enough fuel for the last few miles to the campsite. We knew we were going to be having a few more that evening at the Old Dungeon Ghyll! 😋
      All the best mate

      Morning Chris. Thank you mate. It was brilliant. The Langdales is one of my favourite areas of the lakes so to get to walk towards it on such a beautiful day was brilliant.
      Stay tuned for the third day coming out sometime this week.
      All the best mate ⛰🥾😃

    Camping in the mountains is a reminder of how small we are in the grand scheme of things. This video captures the vastness and beauty of nature impeccably. Liked!!!

      All the very best, Dave.

      Oh my word mate, that burger was amazing, we’d been looking forward to that all day not having it the night before in Coniston. We walked in to the pub and there was no one in. Our hearts sank, but when we asked the bloke behind the bar if they were serving food and he said yes I could have hoyed the lips on him! 🤣🤣

      Hi Jamie mate.
      It was another belting day on the trail. The Langdales is one of my favourite areas in the lakes and to see it in glorious weather like we had it was just amazing.
      We are like kings that day, mainly because we missed the pub grub the night before so we still had an image of burger in our head. ⛰
      12 miles is a good shift mate. It was a beautiful day wasn’t it. I was playing golf in the glorious sunshine yesterday.
      Have a great weekend mate

    Hi Dave,
    Loved this, lots of familiar sections there. Langdale has to be one of the prettiest, chocolate box part of the lakes, with the iconic Langdale pikes towering above the valley. That burger looked amazing! Love the wainwright's Inn, had a fair few pints in there over the years 😀🍻. You certainly put a shift in for day two! We would love to complete the Cumbria way one day, looking forward to the next one👊👍
    Have a great week,
    Shell and Pete 😊👊👍

      @DAoutdoors  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Shell, hi Pete. Thank you so much again for watching and leaving lovely comments. I’m with you, the Langdales are epic, such an amazing area of the Lake District. The burger and pint at the Wainwright Inn was amazing, we’d both been looking forward to that so much all day. 😋😋
      You must do it, it’s brilliant, and being able to have showers and the likes each night at the camp sites is amazing. Or you could really posh it up like a lot of people and stay in hotels. We met loads of people doing that.
      My plan is to release part three this Wednesday or Thursday! 😀
      All the best guys for the week and weekend ahead
      Cheers
      Dave 😀⛰🥾🏕️

    Well done, Dave, 2nd leg completed. I watched Mossy's video, "legend", so already knew your route and adventures. We have walked a fair bit of that at various stages but missed that Tea Room!! Views of Langdale are always spectacular and with the weather and visibility you got it all made for a 1st class day of hiking. You both seemed to been tired at the end of the day so hope energy levels picked up again!! We are off to Europe for a few weeks tomorrow so will be quiet on youtube - back with a bang afterwards!! Regards, Ashley

    • @DAoutdoors
      @DAoutdoors  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Ashley, you need to get to the tea room. They do the biggest pot of tea for two I’ve ever seen, I think we got about four cups each out of it and there was still more in there. And as for the home made scones that were still warm with jam and cream were out of this world. 😋😋
      We were knackered because of all the hiking we did after all the scran we ate.
      There was no issue with energy levels for the rest of the week mate.
      How you and Andrea have a great time on your holidays. All the best guys, Dave 😃🥾⛰🏕️

      Hope the bike is not too damaged. The main thing as you say is that you didn’t hurt yourself.
      I’ve just prepared my video for days 3 and 4 this afternoon. Day three will be out on Wednesday. Day 4 at the weekend. Thanks as always for your support on my channel, it means a great deal. You are one of the originals. 😃👍

      Hi Ian, hi Meg. Yeah, the langdales is one of my favourite areas too. We certainly did get in to the ODG. We had a couple of pints on the evening after we’d set up the tents.
      You’ll be pleased to know the weather gods kept to their word for the whole week. 😃
      The next part will be out on Tuesday.
      All the best mate, have a great weekend.
