Then one day the songs revealed themself to me. They were " Everybody " by: Madonna, " Woman in Love " by: Barbra Streisand, " Self Control " by: Laura Branigan. Those three songs in that order take me back to 1984 lol. I had no clue what they were saying but to me they were magic. But it was the Laura Branigan the one that got me busted with my uncle. One day on a weekend he comes over to hang out with my aunt and grandma. Then all of a sudden the Cantina down the block were blasting out the song and everybody watched me as i started jamming to it. My uncle just picked me up. See thats his American blood calling out. They were all in shock. Me i just liked the song lol. Plus who could forget David Hasselhoff in Knight Rider. So after that everyone in the family, rushed and encouraged me to learn to speak English. Like I said it would take an entire decade for me to pick up my english lessons. Then out of no where. I am sure many can relate. Love the women of the 1980s (Olivia Newton-John, Madonna, Heart, Pat Benatar... all beautiful and great voices) but LB should have been more popular with her voice and hauntingly beautiful looks.
Definitely one of the best hits of the 1980s.
