Should really keep your 80s mechanical and solid built trucks going instead of throwing them away at 20,000 miles. Nothing NEW is worth a damm. All cheap parts and electronic garbage
Sounds like a spec issue that the fire department agreed on, then is now complaining that Ferrara is crap. You spec crap fire trucks, you get crap fire trucks.
10-year-old trucks and they blame the manufacturer? Sounds like a lack of preventative maintenance or their territory's roads suck. Good luck with that legal fight.
The manufacturer does not make the chassis. they only put the apparatus on top of the chassis. It could be a dump truck, bus, camper, etc. So how is this the fault of Ferrara, especially after 10 years?
ron goldman- Ferrara is a single source OEM as they build and assemble the entire vehicle. While Components such as engines, transmission, suspension systems etc are commonly sources from other suppliers they are integral to the engineering of the vehicle. It is not a simple case of Ferrara dropping a cab on a finished chassis.
10 yrs? And they are "flawed" sounds like reckless driving and bad street conditions..also taking these trucks on medical calls doesn't help either. That cuts the life of a truck in half
Ferrara doesn't build front end components they buy them from the company you spec them from. I will say I never liked this company as I think you have much better choices to pick from. As of today, they are not in business due to a buyout.

Gotta buy Pierce with their TAK-4 independent suspension
Meanwhile in the Midwest, Pierce frame rails are rusting apart and FDs are filing a class action against Pierce.

So a 10+ year vehicle breaks and you want to cry warranty? Name any brand of any vehicle that would honor that? smh

Well technically they are supposed to last a X amount of time and if they don’t then the company might be at fault
Jeez the dang thing is 10 years old... The manufacturer owes you nothing
10 years is nothing on a heavy duty truck. Too top that off, fire trucks don't even rack that many miles up.
Should of bought KME or Pierce

They are still in business. I pass by the factory in Louisiana several times each week. sign says KME/Ferrara
Should stick with. Fmc, american lafrance, or. E-1 not a relatives fly by night company that happens to work for the county!!!
FMC and ALF have been out of business for years. FMC for probably over 30 years.
You don’t have these problems with E-One, KME or Pierce. Stay away from Ferrara. Learn your lesson.
Spartan, KME, Pierce or Rosenbauer.
Umm, none of the above. All junk
@@FFEMT736 better than Ferrara.
@@FFEMT736rosenbauer is easily the best choice because it's not american
