  • In this mechabellum 2vs2 game RAT and GCU are facing SteelSane and PlayArcher. The ladder is normalizing a little bit and its easier to find
    good quality games. All of these four player are at the top of the 2v2 ladder.

    I am playing in a 2vs2 tournament organized by the 201 region. There's 3 foreign teams participating: RAT and n_sacco, SteelSane and PlayArcher & Forgotten Arbiter and GCU.
    It's a two day tournament I believe and it's tomorrow and Sunday. Let's see if i'll record some content from it. (edit: Tournament Round 1: ruclips.net/video/Do0_UUeWGxM/видео.html)
    Also I'm going to be hosting a MechaMasters 2vs2 tournament for the top players! It's going to be in a couple of weeks, not scheduled yet.

      Jesus loves you very much. Make some time for Him. Pray, read the Bible, repent and seek Jesus with all of your heart.

    I think you did a good job covering the battles, most people that upload 2v2 recordings only focus on one side, and miss most of what's going on the other. I like seeing your 2v2 matches as much as your 1v1 because while I play more 1v1, I like playing with my friend on 2v2, so its good to see how higher mmr players play.

    It's fun to watch. I do like that you show both sides of the map.

    This was entertaining to watch but in general I find 1v1 more fun to watch.

    having a beacon per person baseline 2v2 opens up so many possibilities. If each pair is in voice, I imagine late game stuff gets crazy. Adds an extra dimension to the autobattler mechanic of not being able to control the battle AI, so its a new way for players to show skill expression.

    Got queued up against the two very same opponents yesterday when playing with a friend. We're both at 8-900 MMR so it was pretty brutal. Think we won one round...

    When playing 2v2, I usually zoom out when I have time, to be able to view both boards

  • @Spinefist
    @Spinefist 4 месяца назад +1

    You can zoom out a bit at times to try and let everyone get an overall idea of the battlefield, just for a moment even.

    Nano Repair Kit + HP Linked on Ball or sledge is pretty good. it's not a long term solution, but can give you back tempo while they try to kill the ball, then you sell it and drop the nanorepair kit on something esle, like Wraith with long range

    In 2v2 I would suggest to higher the camera to max and just show both bords. ❤️

      You can show both boards in the Compact map, but the near side flanks are cut off. In Normal map, even the max camera height can't show all four towers in a "landscape" orientation. It is possible to set up camera on the midline in "portrait" orientation, with a low angle, and place almost the entire battlefield in view -- say, with Blue on the left and Red on the right. That gives a great view of how the overall battle is flowing, but action at the furthest tower is very difficult to follow in the individual-unit detail micro-engagement level that RAT looks at. There's no perfect solution for the Normal map, but I do recommend the higher camera view.

    for a short game, i really wouldn't mind watching the game twice. once for each side of the fight. but i'm wierdly analytical to see it from the perspective of both teammates on the same team.

    I wish they would swap blue and red on the card screen in spectate so it lines up with our POV

    I like the content, but I can definitely see some folks thinking its too chaotic. Also harder to "learn" from the video, its more just for enjoyment of the battle, since its harder to track decisions and judge their impact.

    • @SurreyEZ
      @SurreyEZ  4 месяца назад +2

      That's what i was thinking aswell. I'm not the kind of commentator who can add much hype to see the mechs battle, rather focus on the analytical side of things :D

    You handled the recording just fine.
    In my opinion, don't be afraid to pause the game to take a better look at the board and share your thoughts if you need to. It kind of felt like you were getting overwhelmed and brain was getting a little locked up since you were feeling rushed. Since it's a replay, you can take the opportunity to focus on the commentary. Especially for the players that can stand to learn from some of your techniques since you're one of the better players of the game. Yeah, you're wrong on things sometimes, but oh well.

    • @GregAtlas
      @GregAtlas 4 месяца назад

      Oh, and I understand how that can affect the pacing for the video since the deployment timer isn't always consistent. I think if I were in your position, I'd learn to edit the video to cut out dead air after providing analysis, or get well practiced enough to compensate for using different speed settings. I'd lean towards the latter because editing and processing the edits can take way more time, though if you did it right you'd probably have a much better video product for viewing. Or do both so you can minimize how much you need to edit.
      Either way, it might be a growing pain for your channel as you figure out what's best for you.
