修羅(Shura)=A metaphor for ugly conflicts, endless struggles and manifestations of intense emotions. Shura originally stands for Asura, the evil god of Indian mythology. Asura is said to dwell in a world of constant strife and anger, and the term Shura is used as a metaphor for endless strife and violent anger.
They killed it the other day and definitely got some notice in the music media as a standout act. Spotify numbers in Chicago are up significantly. Search for "Band-Maid Go See It Live" on YT,l; "Hate?" at 41 : 57 is gonna go down as a legendary performance.
Gotta LOVE those little Pigeon feet tappin' the beat in the opening scene.....it's the little things that get me. A BANGER for sure! Akane: Beast Mode activated. They just keep getting better and I hope the move more towards the Hard Rock sound vs Progressive. Thanks rOm
Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘 Thx, Benedikt!
This is an ending song of the second season of the Kengan Ashura anime streaming on Netflix. The lyrics refer to it but they suit, as some quite rightly say, the current course of Band Maid. I wish you a speedy recovery, man.
Good to see you back. Band-Maid just played the Lollapalooza festival, which seems to be huge in the US. I think it was their first festival with mostly mainstream artists (e.g. Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish were headliners). I love the fact that they opened with an instrumental (From Now On), and inserted guitar/bass duels into two other songs (Don't You Tell Me and Hate?), which got some of the biggest cheers of the show. Someone has put the livestream on RUclips, which I won't link for obvious reasons, but is easy to find. Get well soon!
Yes! Akane in Gorilla mode with this one. Drum fill, after drum fill, for most of the song. But for me, this one harks back to their earlier classic hard rock sound, which I really love. Kanami has fattened up the tone on her guitar again for this one, instead of that thin, screechy tone she has been using lately. I thank the Demigod of war, 'Ashura' for that.
Glad you're feeling better! I agree, this was a really strong song. I will be interested to see how you do rank the albums. Especially where you put Conqueror 😉😇
Another banger from the Maids. I love it. It's not a top, top favorite of mine because they have so many bangers, but I love this blend of hard rock with chunky metal guitars that sounds like it came from sometime in between World Domination but before Unseen World, from a universe without the complete departure of Conqueror if that makes sense. And once again, a great solo followed by a beautiful bridge that is so good it deserves its own song. Just another example of Kanami's talent; she's so good she'll use a melody and riff that would be another band's album-leading single and toss it in as a bridge for her other song. So much talent across the entire band.
This songs is a bit similar to their old song SHAKE THAT(more heavy) check this song too.... Japanese Maids shows to the Western Rock Bands dude how to Rock 🤭🤭🤭
5:13 is that a reference to your favorite baseball team Sai-chan? 🐅⚾️ Thanks for your reaction Mat, “Shambles” is a great song. It could have fitted perfectly on their latest EP. Did you see that Maximum The Hormone dropped a new song earlier today? It is called “Koi No America”. It’s very entertaining, you definitely should do a reaction to it 🙂
Welcome back dude! Glad you're feeling a bit better. I'm not saying it's a conspiracy that we both got sick around the same...but! The song fuckin' rips!
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 🌟Akane Hirose Show 🌟! 🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Shambles is the s3 ED to Kengan Ashura, thus some of the interesting references, like Shura. /u/nair0n just did a great breakdown of the lyrics on /r/BandMaid if you want more insight.

Thank you very much for the explanation!
バンドメイドBAND-MAIDへのリアクショングッドです👌🔷
As is usual with Band Maid, this gets better and better with each listening ! It's more like hypnosis (Maidnosis) than rock ! 🤤
The Maids are back in the US playing Lollapalooza in Chicago in their 10th anniversary tour.

Done it and crushed it

Agreed, that's a great shot, especially because the tapping is subtle so it looks genuine

FYI: Heavy Metal is a sub-genre of Hard Rock which is a sub-genre of rock music.

Hard plus rock 😂😂😂

Akane's drums are super badass‼️
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥁🥁🥁😡😡😡🤘🤘🤘⚡️⚡️⚡️
Super gorilla.🦍🦍🦍👊❤
This is Heavy Metal Band Maid style. Pure fire 🔥

A whole new genre?
Heavy Rock-Metal?
I think that we should call it Band-Maid.
Another song written for anime, hence the lyrics. No new guitar that's her 'Angry Larry' that she's had for around 2 years or so.
Of the anime tracks, this is easily my favorite.
5:13 is that a reference to your favorite baseball team Sai-chan? 🐅⚾️

Maximum the Hormone do not spare with bitter irony, because today is the 78th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
It's just Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things.
That is Metall-Maid
Welcome back dude! Glad you're feeling a bit better. I'm not saying it's a conspiracy that we both got sick around the same...but! The song fuckin' rips!
Thanks man, hope you're well recovered!
I'm sure the Fox God had his reasons😜 and yes the song does rip, indeed 😁🤘
I think it’s the same PRS that Kanami-san used in the From Now On MV. And what she’s been using lately; the PRS CE24 Limited “Angry Larry”.
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 🌟Akane Hirose Show 🌟! :)
