My sister here in the US, Maryland ownes a property with a 1 acre pond/lake that has bass in it, she has about 12 fisherman who go there for catch and release, this is private property, she says without fail they are the most polite and respectful people. Asking permission first, sending cool pics and sometimes brininging over baked goods. She said it has been really cool to meet new people and that anglers are sort of the monks of sportmen.
Unbelievable, under section 38 of the fisheries management act, you are well within your rights. Well handled too, I'm a old bastard who ran out of farks to give long ago, her ears would still be ringing.
Me and a mate were up there fishing yesterday and the exact same lady came out videoing us throwing rocks in the water trying to get her dogs onto us, we eventually left then she blocked our car with her quad and recorder our car🤣
Technically she wasn’t on her property. Her property stops at the top of that bank she was walking down. You guys had the right to be in the water and if you wanted to you could have fished on the bank and kept your feet dry.
look into fisherman harassment laws. in america we can call the fish and game wardens on them. and they will be talked to like the little immature kids they are. and if they do it multiple times then you can sue them.
Man, some of these tossers really are getting out of order. Personally, I don't see why you need to keep them happy or be polite to them. They are clearly in the wrong. We should all turn up at once and see how they handle 50 people walking down the river at once. 🙂 Cheers guys PP
You guys handled this situation so calmly was awesome to see 👏. As you were all well in your rights to be walking and fishing. Gotta laugh at the Cray Cray Karen as she was looking for a fight and she got more pissed off because you guys weren't biting 🤣😂🤣😂😂 Bloody Karens dog's didn't even care for her 👌
Well within your rights, you don't even have to stay in the water you're allowed to go anywhere to the high water mark. I carry a copy of the relevant section of the legislation to show people should they have an issue.
That isn't actually the law. You must stay in the bed of the river. Grassed river banks do not constitute the bed of the river, neither do previous flood levels. The high water mark only applies in tidal rivers. Legislation was changed recently because of to many idiots causing havoc on peoples properties. Leaving lit fires, litter, damaging fences, harassing stock, gates left open, things stolen, the list goes on. Its the idiots who do that stuff who ruin it for the genuine people like these boys.
@@blueswasthecatalyst7758 part 2 division 5 section 38 subsection (3)of the act states (3) In this section, bed of a river or creek includes any part of the bed of the river or creek which is alternatively covered and left bare with an increase or decrease in the supply of water (other than during floods).”
When I worked down south in the Snowy Mountain area, there was a farmer just outside Tumut who would constantly call the cops because people would go floating down the Tumut river on tubes "stirring up his cows" during summer. Well, it became a great tradition for some people to go down the river every weekend during the warmer months I can tell you.
Right to fish in certain inland waters (1) A person may take fish from waters in a river or creek that are not subject to tidal influence despite the fact that the bed of those waters is not Crown land if, for the purpose of taking those fish, the person is in a boat on those waters or is on the bed of the river or creek. (2) The right conferred by this section is subject to the other provisions of this Act. (3) In this section, bed of a river or creek includes any part of the bed of the river or creek which is alternatively covered and left bare with an increase or decrease in the supply of water (other than during floods).
Can’t stand people like this. I get that farmers and land owners have people do the wrong thing. But there’s no need for them to be rude to people that fish and are doing the right thing. Just acknowledge them and keep on working that water lads ✌🏻
If Karen has an electric fence which extends to the river when it is at its low watermark, as the situation you guys were in, she could be charged with public endangerment, but further to that, consider an elderly gentleman fishing who has a heart pacemaker, with wet feet and touching that electric fence, it could in fact kill him, resulting in the owner of the property then facing murder charges, for illegal fencing causing death, if this is the situation with this property, they should remove the fence back to a legally surveyed point, or seek further legal advise. Perhaps you could advise her of this for the safety of all concerned. P.S. Karen throwing sticks and rocks at you, or around you, also should not be tolerated, it could be taken as a form of bullying, aggression, or if you are hit assault.
Wow I was the fisherman that was in the passenger side of the hatchback that stopped n had a chat when use where just settings up we didn't get to meet a Karen but got some nice trout not a bad place to fish
It's amazing how many unhappy people are out there. And to make them feel better in their miserable suck Ass lives, they have to make other people miserable to feel good about themselves.
What do you think the ruling would be with the bridge at the end of the vid? The access would be at the top of the bank so although you could probably legally jump down a meter or so to be bellow the bank it might be a couple of meters of trespassing to exit at that point??
Yeah it would depend on the bridge but for this one in the video it would have been trespassing but we jumped out at a crossing further down. Crossings are definitely easier to access than some bridges
If that bridge is on a public road it is a public access point. I'd say they get smashed with people crossing the property. You guys broke no laws that is for sure.
The actions of the lady landholder are disturbing. It’s seems her only justification for hassling you guys is that she didn’t like your presence even though she acknowledged your right to be there. Unfortunately others may not have been as courteous as you guys or have done the wrong thing to earn her ire. Some people think they are entitled and this is another sad example of this. It always pays to be respectful. You are never going to get rational discourse with someone of this mindset. Smile and keep walking and taking fish under her nose!
I some what understand where she is coming from there are some people that go to places and have little to no respect, leave gates open, litter, burnouts etc. Lots of these people have had family that have lived there for years and years and put lots of effort into keeping there place nice. Its a shame that a few bad eggs before you guys have ruined it for everyone
Don't block their faces mate. We must know who these Karens are. We should have a fishing/hiking through this stream. Glad you stay cool headed. 👍
Fisherman harassment is illegal in the states. I’m sure it is there as well. What a miserable lady.

I’m not surprised hey. Shes a wild one that one 😂
Lol you might need a security guard from now on to contain the Karen’s😂😂😂
Haha wouldn’t that be nice 😂
The Karen's have got you on their bloody radar Will 🤣
They sure do 😅

Technically she doesn't own the bank next to the river either.

That would automatically become my favorite fishing hole.

Great idea.
Yes I’ll be carrying a copy for now on

Definitely high tide mark or even flood levels.

Nah but seriously great to see the boys doing another video cheers guys love your work.👌👌👌
Cheers mate! Stay tuned for the main trout video!

Post the location so everybody can walk the river past her house..

It’s crazy, I understand there is people who don’t respect the river and land. But if you were that concerned with people, just have a chat with them.
Yep completely agree! She was yelling and carrying on straight away before we could have a normal chat
Hey guys, have you used the Infeet Rolling Crank successfully on Bass?
You did well not to abuse the shit out of her. Well done. 😡

Wow just wow

How would you like to be married to that !?
I’ll pass

Seems you have a few 'sensitive' types up there in your part of NSW Will! Carry on!

You are completely allowed to fish here tho and are doing nothing wrong. But that's just a little perspective from the point of view
😅😂
She seemed alright to me

#FishKaren
I don’t know how you guys kept your cool with an old hag hassling you the entire time
It’s hard sometimes
