And what Tampa Bay took advantage of, was Reid’s unwillingness to adjust his game plan to reflect his O-line problems-which, of course, has always been a criticism of Reid. Oh, 5-0 blocking isn’t working? Let’s keep doing it.

    • @terrypaulson5945

Yes if you watch all the games they against Patriots, Belichick would make adjustments at half time and Reid just never. The other thing is that they
continue to "at critical times" line up or jump off side. The year Patriots went to the Super Bowl against Rams it was an defensive end for KC that jumped offside
after intercepting Brady with 4 minutes left in the game! And then KC against Tampa...what lined up "offside" on Tampa's FG and then boom TD for Tampa. Mind boggling

      @Will Muny history has been repeating the last 20 years;
Tom Brady faced the Rams (2001, 2018) and Eagles (2004, 2017) and Carolina (2003, 2015). If Gostkowski didn't miss the PAT or a field goal earlier in the game they would've won 2015 AFCCG.
2007 Tom Brady had an mvp year.
2017 Tom Brady had an mvp year.
      Andy Reid was 1-4 in championship games (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008)
      Aaron Rodgers is 1-4 in championship games (2010, 2014, 2016, 2019, 2020)
Kurt Warner was the last MVP to win a SB in 1999, having many similarities to Patrick Mahomes' first 3 years.
Kurt Warner: 2 MVPs, 2 SB AP, SB MVP
Patrick Mahomes: MVP, SB MVP, 2 SB AP
Tom Brady faced the Steelers in the championship game in 2001, 2004, 2016 (2004 and 2016 were blowouts)
Tom Brady also ended Kurt Warner's "Greatest Show on Turf" (2001) dynasty, possibly an Eagles dynasty in 2004, possibly ended the Legion of Boom Dynasty in 2014, and not sure about the Chiefs but 2020 as well (no team has even won 2 SBs in a decade if you don't count the Patriots and Steelers since the Cowboys in 1995)

Not to mention keep going for the long ball instead of short. Something Brady would have had done, short ball and running to combat the line issues.

Typical Andy Reid. He never adjust his game plan, just mumbling "That's on me", "I need to put the guys in a better position to succeed". Andy's team will get worse each year now.

Chiefs could have destroyed that pressure package with a simple power running game. Or.. any running game, but they lacked the discipline to drive down the field with runs and short passes. That's on Mahomes primarily, who admits he often extended the play for deep shots on purpose, aka hero ball, but it's also on Reid. But if you listen to the Chiefs talk about how they played all season, they were simply convinced if they kept pushing the ball down field, the dam would break and they would go on a run, because they'd bailed themselves out of holes that way every other game.

none f which he adjusted to. Now I just watched the preseason game yesterday and the one thing they are great at is discovering talent and they filled the D line and O line.......

No O-Line means the Bucs will get pressure without the need to blitz. Pretty cut and dry

“I think this was one of the best defensive performances we have ever seen”. There were two better ones just in the previous seven years-Seattle against all time highest scoring Denver offense, and NWE against Greatest Show on Turf 2.0.

The o line was hurt …. 500 yards behind line of scrimmage and 31 pressures without blitzing …. Duh … next

todd bowles was a complete joke with the Jets- the original Adam Gase.
Now he's a SB defensive coordinator.
    The power of Brady.

during his first season, the Jets were 10-6 and were a hairline away from the playoffs

His defense is the reason why hes a superbowl defensive cordinator. Them boys balled out and destroyed the chiefs offense. They came ready to play.

Well I think you should know Mahomes n his offense only score 3 points after the 1 quarter in the regular season vs buccs that tells Bowles knew how to make adjustments ignorant

Reading youtube comments on any football video is a good way to lose braincells. I would not recommend scrolling.

I loved watching KC get wreaked in the SB. After getting gifted a win the previous season.
