With braidlocs water is your best friend. Water helps the braid pattern to fade away faster. Since this is the longest and strongest loc method to start with, you can soak your hair in water everyday, this helps loosen the braids so the strands can mesh and tangle into a knot. Overtime the braid pattern will swell and fade as it keeps absorbing more and more water.
I love your hair, it's so beautiful. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I really hate how people think someone can't do there own hair. You did a great job and now I feel good about starting my locs with braids. Thank you
Really good video thanks for getting so up & personal. Too many of us want “perfect” looking locs but that’s impossible, healthy locs is what we should strive for thats way more important. Thanks again 😊🇬🇧
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous!!! I wish I had a time machine to fast forward a few years just so I can see if they’ll look as beautiful as yours 🙈😆Thank you for the update ❤️
This is so inspirational. I just started my micro braid locs 2 weeks ago and I have about 345 or so. I know each journey is different and I'm excited 😆, but yours give me such hope with the length and weight! My hair is half natural and half relaxed so I'm curious to see how it will turn out. I haven't found one person yet who is like that. Most were already full loose naturals. Best wishes on your continued journey.
Absolutely beautiful! Your locs are goals. My. Hair is not as thick but I look forward to the fullness as time goes on. Please continue doing videos. Blessings.
Im glad to see how they look after 4 plus years... i feel like many of mine will look like yours because they already are in that form now. Im a little over a year with micro braidlocs
It also depends on how long your hair was when you installed them my braid pattern is completely gone because I started with 3 to maybe 4 inches of hair my braidlocs are now 2 years
Hello beautiful 😍. I love your hair and thank you for this video. Have you always interlock or have you retwist also. I’m new into my braid loc journey and was thinking since I started with braids interlocking would be the best way do to the braided foundation.
Thank you so much!! 😊Honestly I don't have a real answer for you. I mainly focus on making sure I am doing the pattern correctly and not creating any holes. I think placing the tool close to the loc every time you interlock helps also (if that makes sense).
I am seriously considering doing my own braid locs to save on the cost and have been doing all my research on how to do them. How did you do the back by yourself?
My hair was about shoulder length when I started. No, I didn't add any hair. Check out my 4 years locd video for some before pics. I have my 5 year update video coming soon as well 😊
Nice video... I'm inspired by you to start with braids. But my fear is that will the loc thicken up with time. Cos there's a popular believe that braids don't swell up like twist later in the loc journey.. I look forward to your response
You don't have to interlock, but that's the method I chose after researching different methods. I have a video showing how I interlock them. Feel free to check it out 😊 Hope this answers your question!🥰
@@keshia1390 Thats amazing. How long did it take for the "braid" look to disappear and look like locs? Did you do anything at the start of the braidlock to speed up the process? Appreciate it so much! ❤️
Oh wow!! Yea that can be a downside for some! It can take awhile for the braid pattern to disappear. Glad Interlocking was a better alternative for you 😊
J Windsor: Was your hair completely natural or texlax at the time? I'm about to try the braidlocs on my texlax hair...just curious how long mine would take to loc.
When I learned about it 4.5 years ago, I had only seen about 3 people who had done this method. Only 1 who had them this small. I guess it's not that common 🤷🏾♀️

You are so right! It's important to embrace the imperfections. That's what makes them so unique!

Loooooove your locs.. If my sisterlocks don't mature to the density that you have, I'll combine them.. Yours are perfect.

How do you tame the frizz. I started my braid locs two weeks ago and it’s so frizzy. Yet, I’ve always had a frizz problem
Hello beautiful 😍. I love your hair and thank you for this video. Have you always interlock or have you retwist also. I’m new into my braid loc journey and was thinking since I started with braids interlocking would be the best way do to the braided foundation.
Hi!! Thank you! I always interlocked
This is an odd question but can I start with braid then interlock the rest? I have traditional loc for two years and wanna start micro locs this week
Omg gorgeous ❤
Beautiful 😍
Your hair looks beautiful!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗 How do you keep your locs from looking "bumpy" or unsmooth with the interlocking process?
Thank you so much!! 😊Honestly I don't have a real answer for you. I mainly focus on making sure I am doing the pattern correctly and not creating any holes. I think placing the tool close to the loc every time you interlock helps also (if that makes sense).
How long did it take you to finish and do you recommend adding extra hair

Thank you Laurie!! 🤗💕

Go for it! My mom helped me with parting the back and I used a mirror and just hoped for the best lol!

How many braids did you start with?

Honestly everyone's hair is different. I feel like since I started with braids and I interlock, I didn't experience any swelling.
do you have to interlock when getting it retwisted if you start braidlocs? Whats your process of retwisting?
Much Love, thanks!

@@keshia1390 Thanks helped alot! Also what parting system did you start with?
when you did interlock, you just did the new growth right?
@@ClassicalDelight I did just regular square parts. Yes I interlocked the new growth

I would like to learn how to retighten my sister locs, if you can help me please
hoe heavy is it? just started my microlocs with braida too
It's actually not heavy. It only feels heavy when it's wet or when I have a scarf on it.
I had braidlocs but took them out and interlocked my hair bc after over a year my braids looked the same as they did on day one 😭
