Iread the lyrics to this song in a crush all boxes tour book that Zappa gave out at his shows in 1980. It was a little over a year before the actual version was released. I had it on a bootleg and as a result of reading the lyrics and learning the song from the bootleg... I was playing a version of this for people on the streets of Santa Cruz and the Washington state rainbow gathering... in july of 1981...2 months BEFORE the album came out. I wouild play Flakes... into.. The Meek Shall inherit Nothing and then Dumb All over...BUT...I stopped there... because I couldn't play Heavenly Bank Account...lol....I could now... but back then... I was a spring chicken.

I bet if you asked all the people in the world if they want a world without war, over 99% would say "YES!!!", yet somehow the world is always breaking out in war. We are DUMB ALL OVER, as Zappa says. We are now in a global nuclear Mexican standoff with unstable countries while tensions are rising all the time. That's as dumb as anything I've ever heard.
