    My lab just purchased one of these & we've started doing testing prints. I am blown away by the capabilities of this machine.

    Awesome video!
    I just got a sample of the nylon 12 powder. It's a Formlabs hardcase with business card inside.
    The texture feel so different, gritty but it doesn't flake away. I'm really impressed but probably can't afford the machine.

    You state it took 52 hrs to print. How much time to post process? Looks labor intensive. Do you have an automated tumbler or other station to automate this? What is the cost per cubic inch or cm3 for the material? ? Understood capital investment plus labor and facility costs are extra.

    How much time to preheat the Fuse 1? I know an SLS printer's preheat time is over 60mins...

    HP mjf software has 3 dimensional nesting of parts in the build chamber. Does form labs have something similar

    looks awesome and ready to buy one but sadly Australian resellers said it won't be ready until end of 2021 or early 2022 - is this correct?

      Hi Jady. Thinglab have Fuse 1 printers on the way and we expect the first units to land in Australia in around 6 weeks. We have already started taking orders and as you would expect there is a lot of demand. Feel free to reach out to us if you would like a quotation or any other information on the Fuse 1.

    Would you launch white powders, so we can dye them?

      Because of the kind of laser they are using they need darker powder to absorb the laser

    • @chefdetective
      @chefdetective 3 года назад

      because of the wavelength of the fiber laser they have to use grey nylon so that it can absorb the laser's energy. White powder would require a different laser configuration

    What was the packing density of the build volume with 102 mixer clips? What is the recommended maximum packing Density? My Fuse 1 is ordered and should be here in about 4 weeks!

    • @Defender3d
      @Defender3d 2 года назад +2

      Not really. The 'Fuse Sift' is also a powder recovery and mixing unit. This is a big advantage over others such as the Sinterit Lisa range. You really need to control the recovery process well, to avoid airborne dust. The Sift also filters this possibility. The downside is you also need a £3k explosion proof vac for clearing the Sift.
