Hi Protolabs, I’m a recently separated U.S. Navy service member and landed a position with 3D Systems. I’d love a copy of 3D Printing Handbook!

PBF (Powder bed fusion) is the right term. THis inclused SLS,MJF,HSS(high speed sintering)! it also engulfs the new powder processes which would soon be launched

a copy of that book would be helpful
where can i find more details like: fuse rate, temperature that powder is heated, cleaning process of the machine, etc.?

Great video! Please don't use footage when people dig around in sls powder without ppe 1:54

If I want precision, smooth surface and yet can withstand heat of approx. 80 degrees Celcius. Which type of 3D printing method is best? I use it for automotive parts and will use the 3d printed part as a source for resin tooling.

Hi Charles, in this case heat resistant SLA resin would be best.

How to reduce the amount of powder material usage in order to make a single product at a time?

Hi Malik, you can put it flat on the bed to ensure fewer coating layers of powder, a.k.a more efficient orientation.

3Dhubs SLS is only 100 microns on the Z? Other SLS system have 50 even 25 micron on the Z. At 100 micron it makes it hard to print threads.
