It came with 16” sleeves instead of 9”, all black end caps instead of the signature fitness end cap, and the bar does not tip over to one side when loading weights. I bought the Signature Fitness Belt Squat Attachment off of Amazon. It's about a 1/3 of the price of the Revolt attachment and, frankly, works amazing. It's very well built and the welds look solid. I loaded 320+ lbs onto it and did sets of 6 no problem. I'm a big fan of whatever they're doing to get prices down. Might look into this trap bar now!
I got the "non commercial packaging" version of their power rack for 500 bucks free shipping. Its all 11ga steel, with j cups and safety straps, multigrip pullup bar. Virtually the same as a rep or titan 3x3 5/8" rack. Super deal. I don't think they are producing/importing things anymore though as far as I can tell
I bought the Signature Fitness Belt Squat Lever Arm too for $69.99 on Amazon. It is excellent. I put 320 pounds on mine too. This is because I put 6 cast iron 45-pound plates and two 25-pound bumper plates, because I had no other place to store the two 25 pound bumper plates I put on it. Eight 45-pound cast iron plates is probably the maximum weight you can put on it. However, for those who can do hip squats with more than 360 pounds, or with eight 45-pound cast iron plates, they are going to want something that will allow them to do heavier belt squats. I'm o.k. doing 320 pound hip belt squats though.
There's actually a newer version of this bar with longer (16"+ loadable) sleeves that weighs the full 45 lbs. That appears to be what they're shipping now.
This trap bar weighs closer to 35lb. I was a little disappointed when I found that out, but after all it makes it easier to store. Same with the compact sleeves. The thin grip can be problematic for me, so I use straps for high reps. Poor mans fix 🍋👍🍋
I have this trap bar. It’s the SAME as the BOS open trap bar that’s $299 but the sleeves are longer but the knurl is not good and the sleeves do rotate but they are cheap. Worth it!!
Walmart/Balance Form must be a subscriber. I just got one of these and all these issues are fixed, fully 17' sleeves, rubber feet on jack stand and consistent knurling, albeit lighter than I think you would appreciate. For 107 bucks delivered, it's tough to beat.
Was on sale for $89 today. have calibrated plates so the short sleeves are a bonus. Long delivery time, but had to pull the trigger. Now lets hope they weren't really out of stock without being updated like when i ordered color coded bumpers for $1 a pound with free shipping last time. I did score a $260 lb set of the bumpers before deciding to order more once i knew they were legit though.
Love yalls work, but if I could add some criticism. You used to go IN DEPTH with a lot of products and for something so unknown like this trap bar I would've liked more testing. Weight, Tensile strength test, weight balance to see if the bar is perfectly balanced or not. Thing's like that. But THANK you for all the work ya'll put in, I've been addicted to this channel for a long time!

I just ordered it for $55 on sale at Walmart . Am a 52 yr old female , I go to the gym 4 times a week , but they re are times where when I prefer to do some workout at home as well . I have the squat racks, the Bench , the kettlebells , some dumbbell, barbell . This will be a great collection among them since I love my legs workouts . In this lifetime I doubt highly I’ll be lifting 1000 lbs 😁😎, so this is perfect for me . Hey $55 sale 🤷🏾♂️can’t beat that .

We have tons of fitness equipment, but I've been eyeballing this trap bar because it's so. very. cheap. And darn you, Coop - i couldn't resist after watching your review. I clicked your link and ordered. It arrived yesterday, and get this - it has 16" sleeves not counting the collars, and the end caps are blank, so even though I ordered it from the same listing, it's not the same bar. It came very slightly bent, but not in place that's affects anything, and the box was horrible! I did a few test deadlifts, squats, shrugs and calf raises last night, and for me, it's a keeper. Thanks for recommending this, Coop.
I got a similar, small trap bar for less than 100 USD (699 NOK shipping not included) and I really like it! The brand is called Levity. It's a regular trap bar, not an open one though. The sleeves are shorter, just like this one, but it's perfect for a petite woman like myself whose just starting to lift. No regrets!

Thought I would let you all know that I ordered this open end trap bar from Walmart and it came as advertised with 17 inch sleeves, although I would have preferred 9.5 inch. I use 1.75 inch cast plates, and 9.5 inches will hold more 45lb plates than I can pull off the ground. But I know soome guys will need the 17 inch sleeves.

Decided to order one of these just for the hell of it. Fill the gap until i decide i wanna drop another large order from REP. Well… Not mad at it for $100. Packaging was pretty rough, but the bar arrived (mostly) unscathed. But the nicer surprise was that mine showed up without the logos on the end of the sleeves… but with 17” sleeves. So, that’s a win!😅
Went down to an absurdly low price of $79 last week so I had to get it. The sleeves are indeed longer, but their packaging doesn’t allow for it. The sleeve ends are actually resting on the thin cardboard box sides with no other protection and with no wiggle room. Needless to say, the box arrived from FedEx with both sides blown out of the box with perfect little 2” sleeve cutouts. The sleeve ends were so badly damaged, I couldn’t load any plates. Undeterred I ordered a replacement, 3 days later, same FedEx guy delivered the 2nd bar with the same damage to both sides where the sleeves were sticking out. It’s not Walmarts fault, not even FedEx’s fault as most of the delivery guys will load/unload from trucks and place the box on head/tail. Fault lies with Balancefrom for a egregious lack of protection for the bar ends. BUT I digress, I salvaged the best sleeves from both bars and created a working unit, and it is indeed a robust bar with some caveats that does the job way under budget. If you can get it delivered without damage, it’s a winner.
99% of people will be just fine with this trap bar! I don’t see to many people with garage gyms doing record breaking lifts! A true budget home gym is fine!

For a lot of people this will get the job done, especially being an open ended version without a dumb 3 inch diameter tube. I've never seen anyone squatting regularly with the expensive open ended trap bars. Maybe some lunges or face down rows. Coop does a good job at reviewing gym equipment, but he also can afford just about everything that comes out, no matter how ridiculously over priced it is. It's only when equipment is so cheap that it becomes unsafe is where the problem lies. So get some use out of it and if the weld cracks when u drop it, upgrade, or don't drop the next one the same way. 🤘
There is a northern lights open trap bar that's tiny like this and only a bit more expensive in canadian conversion but at that price I would most likely pay double to get the Rep fitness which is still affordable and would feel much more high quality and durable
I just go mine delivered last week and it has full 16" sleeves so Coop you definitely got screwed. My only wish is that it had a little more knurling but overall it worked great for my girlfriend and I doing deadlifts, RDLs, and bent over rows this weekend. For $95 delivered to my door, no complaints at all so we will have to see how it holds up over time.
It's actually 89.99 right now. And I'm assuming they accidentally sent the 500lb capacity option, because several people that left reviews said they measured the sleeves at 17 inches.
So I ordered this and 2 key differences: 1) it is and has been $89. 2) the sleeves are normal length (not short amd not super long like your image from the website). So for me I have very limeted space and Iron plates so I wanted the short sleeves. For most the in-between normal length will be perfect. However my packaging was terrible. There was a cradle this set in but NOTHING BUT CARDBOARD holding it in the cradle. It came completely out of packaging and both ends on the sleeve dented. I will have to load up and try to return to Walmart in person. Will they take it? I don't know. If they do I may still buy a replacement, see if I get undamaged... I mean $89!!!!
I just bought it on sale for $80. Knurl isn’t great, no bushings, and it edges of the sleeves have sharp bits sticking out. Otherwise it’s pretty great. I really have no significant problems. I got it with the 16” sleeves. Honestly if you don’t have a trap bar already and don’t wanna make a $400 purchase, buy this thing now. That price makes me forgive every fault of the bar.
I have a trap bar just like this, except its closed and not open. I bet I could modify it to be open (maybe weld on some jack stand type pieces using the leftovers) and still have decent capacity like this one lol

It’s hot garbage we got it and it permanently bent at 585. So it’s probably about a 500lb capacity instead of 1000.

At first I thought this was the Bells of Steel open trap bar. I’d bet they’re all coming from the same factory in china.

There is a northern lights open trap bar that's tiny like this and only a bit more expensive in canadian conversion but at that price I would most likely pay double to get the Rep fitness which is still affordable and would feel much more high quality and durable
Titan Fitness Rickshaw is $170 and does the same thing as an open trap bar
I just go mine delivered last week and it has full 16" sleeves so Coop you definitely got screwed. My only wish is that it had a little more knurling but overall it worked great for my girlfriend and I doing deadlifts, RDLs, and bent over rows this weekend. For $95 delivered to my door, no complaints at all so we will have to see how it holds up over time.

It's actually 89.99 right now. And I'm assuming they accidentally sent the 500lb capacity option, because several people that left reviews said they measured the sleeves at 17 inches.
There is a lot of inconsistencies with the bars. My bar has 18 inch sleeves and agressive knurling.

Dang. Mine didn’t even have the Signature stickers on the end - just dented all to hell lol.
So I ordered this and 2 key differences: 1) it is and has been $89. 2) the sleeves are normal length (not short amd not super long like your image from the website).
So for me I have very limeted space and Iron plates so I wanted the short sleeves. For most the in-between normal length will be perfect.
However my packaging was terrible. There was a cradle this set in but NOTHING BUT CARDBOARD holding it in the cradle. It came completely out of packaging and both ends on the sleeve dented. I will have to load up and try to return to Walmart in person. Will they take it? I don't know.
If they do I may still buy a replacement, see if I get undamaged... I mean $89!!!!

I just bought it on sale for $80. Knurl isn’t great, no bushings, and it edges of the sleeves have sharp bits sticking out. Otherwise it’s pretty great. I really have no significant problems. I got it with the 16” sleeves. Honestly if you don’t have a trap bar already and don’t wanna make a $400 purchase, buy this thing now. That price makes me forgive every fault of the bar.

I have a trap bar just like this, except its closed and not open. I bet I could modify it to be open (maybe weld on some jack stand type pieces using the leftovers) and still have decent capacity like this one lol
Ordered mine. The sleeves are 15 inches long and they don’t say signature fitness on them. The box says balance from on it also.
I bought this around the same time mine has the really long sleeves they’re are two options for sleeve length
hoped to get the short one but didn't. now i feel like i have to get the bells of steel bar. but ill keep this for now until i reach 500 cos i heard it bends after that
Oh man, this is a fantastic deal. Too bad it's not on the Canadian store... I live not so far from the border but it's not even available for pickup from a store. Ouch! Hurts to lose on a deal like this!
