People have patents over all kinds of stupid things. I'm heard one company had a patent over having a plastic box around a 3D printer to keep dust out. The most egregious examples are by far are software patents. People basically have patents on vague things like "an app to meet people" filed in 2023. The patent itself is obviously invalid by virtue of prior art, but instead of the office denying it they just give it out to trolls who then make malicious lawsuits and then companies have to pay huge sums to get these stupid patents invalidated.
Wow, I have this bar and love it. The forward weight isn’t as bad as Coop makes it out to be. He made me think of those old infomercials 😂 🤣. The 38” handles feel a lot better than I thought it should be. I usually use the 32” handles for most workouts. Also, I purchased my bar when it was on sale (sub $300) shipped to my door.
COOP,, you have to review the syedee belt squat. Just got it for 509 bucks and it is awesome. Can't believe nobody has done a review for home use with a 750 lb weight capacity
I’d still love to see a series on you guys making themed gyms. I wanna see your version of a rock climbers home gym. Your take on an MMA home gym. BJJ home gym. Are people really putting wrestling mats in their garage? Would be a good excuse to get an arm wrestling table. What would a professional arm wrestlers home gym look like? Whatever you guys can think of. I think it would be cool to see what you guys come up with.
@@bmstylee I’d love to see what’s available. I’m so unfamiliar with that world but I could see some parents with a couple of teenagers or a house with multiple roommates wanting to put something like that together in their garage. Or if I wanted to put out some feelers into the community and host an arm wrestling group what might I want to invest in. I think it would be cool to see that stuff.
Hi, I'm still waiting for the Major Lutie power racks review. It has been teased to us many times in the course of the last few months. Looking at the Smith Machine.
Keep in mind, the Five stars are based on my needs for this item ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUHHotQRjIQnfuxEeVotlkHVYWH0DXZoS When I first bought the bike I was going to return it immediately. After trying it out for several days/weeks I came to realize it is actually perfect for WHY I bought it.This is not a workout, the resistance is, eh, it makes a bit of noise, not loud, and it isn’t very stable even with the mat. The mat certainly keeps the bike from sliding but nothing keeps the mat from sliding (if that makes any sense, lol). Mine is place on my hard wood floor. Maybe it would be better with a rug underneath??I sit for long hours for work and wanted something to keep my legs moving. This bike does exactly that! For the price it is amazing, it is compact, easy to use, light weight, keeps track of time, calories etc (not sure how accurate it is) but good little product. I am happy with it.
I got the Walmart Trap Bar after your review for $96.12. That's with 10% tax, $10.99 disount savings and Free shipping. It is balanced. It never drops down. I got it because it was cheap and compact and to give my back a break from deadlifts. I've had it since June. I use it every other day, so far so good. Granted I've only used it so far with 300 pounds. If you never had a review on this bar I woud have to pass on buying a trap bar. Did I say I got this bar because it was cheap.
Hey Coop! Love your content. Would love for you to review TITAN Series Rack Mounted Leg Curl And Extension. It's on sale for $430 and seems like an alternative to Bulletproof Fitness's $800 Isolator if you're focused on leg isolation exercises. Would love a review or even just your take on that comparison.
Please review the Fitness Reality X-Class Light Commercial High Capacity Olympic Power Cage. I've seen this unit has had some upgrades from 2015 and would love to know your thoughts.
9:50 no Coop, that's not a smart way to void a patent - you can still get sued for that as the court will take design intent into consideration as well...
I have a clone of the BOS open trap bar and it wasn't balanced either. I bought 2 rolls of 1lb lead fishing wrap weights and wrapped them near the base of the feet (and wrapped 3M rubber tape over them) and now they are perfectly balanced.
I have the Rogue TB-2. I am not a huge fan of Titan, but this thing looks pretty legit at the same price point as the TB2. Finally an open TB without an astronomical price tag.
He must have an older version of the Giant Lifting Northland Trap bar. They are on like Version 3.0 of the bar & handles now. and The new handles have very good knurling. You can tell if it’s the newest version buy looking at the knurling it has a cut line in the center to make sure your in the center of the handle. The bar is 45lbs and also balanced. It makes plate math and lift so much easier. I would take it all day under $300 shipped.
@@blaximum wow you really are special. I assume you don't think trademarks and copyrights should be allowed as well because those aren't fair either. Of course if it was your hard work that created the intellectual property you wouldn't just give it away for free. 🤦♂️
@@bmstylee nice straw man. The concept of a patent is fine. Patent abuse is what is bullshit. Patenting weight distribution as an overall concept is trash. When they created them, Volvo could've abused this system and restricted the use of seatbelts by other manufacturers, but they did the right thing and now every car on the market has seatbelts and they've saved countless lives.
Why would they need to connect the sleeves with bolts? Is it for smaller shipping volume or what? Just make it from one solid piece and no bolts to hit the spotter arms...
Titan keeps coming out with things right before Rep fitness drops their version. Problem is it seems like they put absolutely no thought into it and rep is killing it with their new products.
Blows my mind to think you can actually have a patent on a bar being balanced 😆

In a BJJ gym you would probably want some specialized stuff. A mat to train on. A grappling dummy and a heavy bag would be a nice addition.

It's that the balance form bar?
it's hard to compete with the Rep one, especially with the handle options they came out with.
Great video, Coop.
How about a video on maintenance of equipment?

Have you ever thought of reviewing the powertec multisystem?
What to see something a little bit smaller that is between 700lbs to 1,000lbs max to fit in my home gym
Does Elieko have the balanced patent? The Rep fitness open trap bar is super well balanced.
Can you review kensui Tokyo Open Trap Bar!
Put the saftey bars all the way to the bottom and move the bar in thru the side.👍

Can you buy Titan products in the U.K.?
UHMW on jack stand?
Also, you said "jack it" lol
Or do it the other way, and make it possible to balance it with the addition of a couple of change plates.
Still using my pandemic wood framed trap bar😂

Bought a Marrs Bar,OTB,MGB,Farmers Walk Handles,SSB all from Titan,no complaints whatso ever.
No other comments? Feels illegal to be this early!
You came early, nothing to be ashamed of.
@@jmagnum15I swear this doesn't usually happen.
I’d like someone to make an open trap bar with a short sleeve option. Like the Rogue MG bar, rackable but short sleeves.
Isn’t the Bells of Steel trap bar short and rack able?
Body Solid does
Is it just me, or is the low handle raised an inch or so?
Where's the major lutie?
REP has stainless steel removable handles, better frame, and the price is almost the same…
I’d like to buy a cheap and short open trap bar

My wife will not be happy. LOL
If I get one, it's still going to be REP so far.
The only reason to pick this one is if you need a very rigid bar
Not being able to make a balanced open trap bar because another company had a patent on it is the dumbest, goofiest shit bruv.
That's the advantage of being an innovator and creating the IP first.
@@bmstylee that's the advantage of greed and capitalism. The entire market would benefit from this feature.
They don't have a patent on balance, they have a patent on the measurements of the entire design.

Yes there is, it’s sturdier

Such a ignorant ass comment
I've given up on titan fitness. I rather save up for the rep or elieko

No. REP is way better, cambered bar squats 👌
It's wonky, heavy, too big, terribly unbalanced. Other than that it's great. 😅
Giving Titan credit for making an unbalanced bar... I think you're giving them too much credit it's likely more accidental
The extensive stroking of the bar in the video made me sexually uncomfortable.
Take that, take that
