Gabe, thanks for sharing the travel memories! Living in the burbs (no regretes) I have to admit downtown Toronto rivals any well known & respectable metropolis on the planet. What I don't envy is that it seems super expensive to visit attractions & sit down for a meal. Apparently you visited tourist hot spots, hope you have time to visit less well known but relaxing areas in the "six".

The Beaches, King and Queen streets, Yorkville, Kensington Market, The Annex... Just info, for anyone planning on visiting Toronto and wanting to explore some other areas with a little more vibrancy.

I remember going up CN tower and seeing how vast Lake Ontario looked from up there, just looked like an ocean, really amazing. This city centre looks more alive than the other concrete jungles. Still such a difference with European city centres. Canadian and American cities are designed totally wrong in the past i feel. For me a city centre should be the heart of the city. You can see Toronto is trying to do that! Beacutifull city.

And I definitely agree with the poster above - Toronto is quite lively both downtown and along the main thoroughfare of many satellite neighbourhoods (e.g., midtown, the Danforth, Riverdale, Parkdale, Roncesvalle, etc).
Hi Gabriel, it's tough to travel to a city when you don't have any plans. The restaurant was nice, with a good amount of food for the price you paid. I'm sure at this point you're thinking about traveling to Europe, it will be interesting to see where you are heading in the fall.
It seems I did a similar walk to you but in the opposite direction during my visit to Toronto (which was at the end of winter) a while back. I do remember happening upon an interesting Eskimo exhibit somewhere near the lake. Thanks for bringing back pleasant memories!

Inuit is a relatively late addition to the vocabulary in bith countries, and is still nit common usage in the US.
