As long as you have Love...Kindness...Compassion...and Joy in your Heart...these are pillars of a great start on any path you take.

I consider Christmas isn't just a Christian holiday (Which in a since, its true) but its still a religious holiday for all

@@nyclee9133 I never understood about heaven and hell. I don't know anyone who has received a letter form someone who they think or say went to heaven or hell. Christmas Season is about having peace in life for some. . Buddha shows that . Not just during Christmas but throughout the years.

@@tiacuppe6681 Yes, and Jesus went missing for a few years. Some also think he went to be taught or mentored by a buddhist Monk. Where else was he if he went missing? To practice with a Buddhist monk most likely.

This is such ish. Jesus didn't preach Dharma at all. He did some good things, but he didn't dispel delusions and taught a false doctrine. No one can be a Buddhist and a Christian at the same time. Anyone who claims to be as such is disrespecting both religions. One could practice Buddha Dharma and Bon, Shinto, Ganesh devotion, ancestor devotion etc. because they don't make the same exclusivist claims that the Abrahamic religions make.
When I embraced traditional, authentic Buddha Dharma I knew I would never observe Christmas again and I was fine with that.

Even as a matter of cultural tradition for me being Polish in such a way it would prevent me from observing buddist philosophy as Christian traditions are part of being Polish even our Jews observed Christmas Easter like athiests do today.

@@mks8172 That's just me. Buddha Dharma doesn't say you can't observe Christmas as a cultural thing. I've known monasteries to have Christmas trees and such

Thanks its a stone drop from the heart as its the thought that it is like denying who I am if I adopt buddist ways.

We don't view God as a Bodhisattva. We view him as a deity.
